Dr. Lena Luthor, was a respected and admired doctor in her field. She's the one who's been leading the change for new medical treatment for several years now. Lena has had countless of awards given to her for the breakthrough she's done in her field. She was successful in everything she put her mind to except when it came to her love life.

At first, Lena would push the lonely feeling aside and pushed herself to work hard. Telling herself that she didn't have time to date anybody. It worked at the beginning but the older she got, the harder it was to ignore that lonely feeling.

Lena's friend, Andrea, hated the fact that Lena overworked herself. She barely had anytime time for herself, much less for friends or even a partner. Andrea had agreed not to intervene in Lena's love life but she couldn't help herself. All she wanted for her friend was to find someone she could share her life with.

"So Lena, I found....."

"Whatever it is Andrea, my answer is no."

"You don't even know what I'm going to say!"

Andrea tries to defend herself. Lena just chuckles softly and places her patient files down.

"I know you and this probably involves another blind date. Am I wrong?"

"You're not wrong. She's an amazing woman, if you could just give her a chance and go out on a date with her, you'll see that the two of you are perfect for each other."

"And how would you even know that?"

"Because I'm your best friend and I know you better than I know myself. Please, I'll stop pestering you about blind dates if you agree to this one. Just this last one and I won't ever intervene in your love life."

Lena just sighs and rubs her temple. The things she did to satisfy her friend.

"Fine. This will be the last time I agree to go on a blind date."

Andrea happily nods and begins to tell Lena about the other woman.

Lena knew she was running late. She had been busy working at her lab and hadn't realized what time it was until she received a call from Andrea.

"Lena?! Are you going? Please tell me that you're already on your way. We made a deal..."

"Yes, Andrea. I'm going to the blind date. My mind slipped and I hadn't realized what time it was."

"Lena!"

"I know. I know. I came prepared with my outfit so I'll just change and head out."

Lena knew it was wrong to speed through traffic but she was already 20 minutes late. She gets yet another call from Andrea as she drives to the restaurant.

"Lena..."

"I'm already on my way. Traffic was just terrible."

Lena explains.

"It's okay. I just wanted to let you know that she was late too. I can't wait for you to meet her. You're really going to love her."

They talk for a little longer while Lena drives through the traffic. Once she's close to the restaurant, the two of the hang up. Lena turns up the music and hums along while she thinks about what the date would be like. She had honestly been dreading the date at first but now she was really looking forward to it. From what Andrea had told her, the two of them would really get along. She had just taken her eyes off of the road for just a second to double check the directions when all of the sudden she hears a loud honk and see bright lights coming towards her.
