"This place is heaven."

Your agent tells you as you step inside to look around the place. The house was empty except for a couple of abstract painting and a coffee table. The decor was a bit sad and it made you assume that hardly anyone lived here. It didn't seem...right.

"Yeah but it's not fully furnished. I specifically asked for a place that was furnished because I don't have time to shop for any kind of furniture. This place doesn't even have a couch."

You leave the empty house with your agent following behind you as the two of you head to the next couple of places that she had looked for you. It's finally the last place of the day and you still hadn't found something that you liked.

"Liste..."

As you start talking, a flyer hits your face. You throw it away but it just hits you again. You ignore your agents lame attempt at covering her laugh while you read over what the flyer said.

AVAILABLE FOR RENT: FURNISHED, MODERN STYLE, 2 BATHROOMS, 2 BEDROOMS AND WITH ROOF ACCESS! INCLUDES INTERNET AND CABLE TV.

ADDRESS: 2ND AVENUE, PITTSBURGH ST. TOP FLOOR. NATIONAL CITY

It was close to where you were currently standing so you began to walk your way to the building. Leaving behind your agent as she recovered from the laugh.

"Wait, (y/n)! Where are you going?"

She chases after you as you continue to walk.

Handing her the flyer of the place you were interested in, she made a couple of calls and soon enough the two of you were making your way up the building to check out the place. As you stepped inside the apartment, something about the place made you feel safe and secure. It was comfortable. The most surprising part was that the apartment had everything. TV's, books, couches, pots and pans, and anything else that someone might need. It looked like someone had just abandoned the place.

"What happened? Why does it look like someone just got up and left without a thing."

Your agent looks down at the email that she had received from the owner of the building.

"It says here that the past owner just decided to leave everything behind. They tried contacting them but after 2 months of the rent not being paid, they decided to open up the apartment for rent again."

"What happened to the previous renter?"

"Doesn't say. Maybe a family emergency?"

You walked all around the apartment, checking the private roof access, the bedrooms and bathrooms until you ended up back at the living room to take a seat. You haven't said a word about liking the apartment so she just assumes that it was another no.

"There's another place that we can see tomorrow. It just opened up and I can guarantee that this place is fully fu...."

"I like the couch, Sandra."

"The couch?"

She repeats. Unsure of what you meant. Honestly, you were a great client but sometimes it was hard trying to understand if you liked things or not.

"Good an comfortable couch."

You mumbled. Assuming that you meant that you liked it and she was too tired to ask any other questions, she rushed out to print out the paperwork for you to sign. After several long minutes of skimming through everything, she hands you the keys and congratulates you on the new place.

X

2 whole weeks without any accidents had gone by. Each day, you made the place more and more of you own as you went out to buy food, beer and little decorations to make the place officially yours.

Its the start of the third week when something happens.

You had just gotten home, set up your favorite video to play and headed to the kitchen to grab a beer and some snacks before you took a seat.

"AHHHH!!"

When you made your way back to the living room, you came across a woman that you had never seen before. Both of you were shocked from seeing each other that you both yelled and it ended up causing you to spill the beer that you were holding.
