A New Life

*The week later*

Ever sense I got back from Afghanistan me an Emilie have just been sitting around the house and she hasn't been feeling well, which isn't good because our wedding is just another week. I hope she feels better by then. Because it wouldn't be good to be getting ready to say our vows an then she pukes up all over me or the minister at the church. it would be kinda funny, but bad at the same time,

Emilie-- "Babe, I don't feel good." she says with a moan, an she walks over to me with her hands on her stomach.

Caleb-- "I couldn't tell, are you pregnant?" I say with a joking tone, an then Emilie glares at me

Emilie-- "Don't say that." she says in a angered an joking tone. an then she sits by me on the couch an lays her head on my lap. I hold her hand an kiss her knuckles, One thing I really missed when I was gone was this, sitting here holding Emilie in my arms an not having to let go.

Emilie-- "Were you just joking when you asked me if I was pregnant?" she asks an looks me in the eyes with a slight smile.

Caleb-- "Well it could be an option, because your always getting sick in the morning, always making trips to the bathroom as well" I say to her as I look into her amazing eyes.

Emilie-- "Let's go to the store then babe."

she says as she gets up slowly from the couch an then goes the kitchen and grabs the keys to my truck. An then she grabs her jacket an hands me the keys an then we start going to the store, "So what all are we getting babe." I say to Emilie. "The pregnancy strips." she says an looks at me with a smile. I smile back and grabs her hand. We get to the store an her an I go inside an she goes to the isle an gets the strips. Then we go back home an she goes to the bathroom an opens up the box.

A few minutes later Emilie walk out of the bathroom holding one of the strips in her hand and smiling with tears flowing down her face. I jump up from the couch an go to her an hug her.

Emilie-- "I'm pregnant." she says as her voice cracks from crying. I was so happy to hear her say that, I couldn't ever speak, I just stood there as tears of joy flew down my face."That's amazing baby." those were the only words I could make out at the time. Then I looked at her an smiled an kissed her.
