I've always admired Japan. Japanese was the second language my grandfather taught me out of the seven I know. I loved my grandfather. He was the only one who truly loved me. I mean a deadbeat dad who had another family, a mom who never wanted me and a grandmother who ignored me. He was the only family I had. I was devastated when he died when I was nine.

I never thought this day would come where I would actually be here. Well technically I'm still on the plan but I'm in Japan about to land. From what I have notice I look like a typical Japanese person, well duh I'm mixed with Japanese and American. I have the long black hair but my eyes are a bluish gray. I used to get picked on because of my eyes.

When I got off the plane, I saw a sign with my name on it. I looked at the man holding the sign he looked like my so I knew he was my dad. My grandfather told me that I looked like my dad and not my mom. He also said it was a good thing. I walked over to him.

"Hello. I'm August." I told him in Japanese. He started at me in what I think was disbelief.

"Um.....Hello. I'm Motoko Kou. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand for a handshake. What is this a business meeting??? The daughter that your meeting for the first time in the 16 years of her life and you're treating it like a f*cking business meeting. I shake his hand back.

"Shall we get going." He said turning and walking away. I nodded and followed. When we got to the car. I put my two bags in the trunk and I got in. He handed me a pack of papers.

"This is your registered name in Japan, your new address, school info, and directions to school." He explained. "You can get your school things on Monday. You can ask Matsu, Mitsu, or Mari to show you around the school. I'll have to say I was very impressed to see that you got full marks on the entrance exam. They decided to put you in 2-A instead of 1-A so you'll be in the same class as Mari but you'll be the youngest in the whole year two class."

"Um. I have a question." I said after hearing all of that.

"What's your question?"

"Who are the people you just mention?"

"Oh, those are you older siblings." He chuckled. " I guess I should've told you."

"Yeah. That would be nice."

"Sorry. Matsu and Mitsu are your older brothers. They're identical twins but they're very easy to tell apart once you get to know them. They're a year older than you and Mari. Mari is your older sister. She's older only by nine months. You'll also be sharing a room with her. And then there is Yuki. He's five years old. You'll get along easily with him."

"Oh ok. That's a lot and they're all ok with me coming and staying?"

"Yeah. They're all ecstatic that you're coming. Especially my wife. She always wanted another daughter."

"Cool."

"Oh. This is yours. It's so we can contact you whenever you're out somewhere." He pulls an iPhone out of his pocket and hands it to me. "It's already set up and it has all of our numbers in it. That sticky note has your number."

"Thank you." I didn't know what else to say. The rest of the car ride was silent because he was on a business call so I decided to take a nap. I was just on a plane for god knows how many hours so I was tried.

I woke up in front of a house. It was a decent sized house. It looked nice inside too. It was decorated so nicely. My dad said that everyone was in their room before dinner was ready. He told where my room is at. When I got upstairs I realized that the door was decorated in pink. I stood in front of the door. What the f*ck? I have to stay in a room with a girly girl. Yay me! I was about to knock on the door when it swung open.

"Who the f*ck are you?" The girl snapped at me with a nasty look on her face. I'm assuming that this is Mari.

"Um...I'm August," I tell her. "Wait I mean Tsubaki."

"So you don't even know who you are. Whatever. Just move out of my way." She shoved pass me. I stood there in shock. What the f*uck was her problem?
