After Robert finished dealing with the security guard he headed into Christopher's office, where Christopher was going through his emails.

"This is not good, Several of the older board members are losing it. Two deals have fallen through." Christopher informed Robert as he came around his desk to start pacing his office.

"Christopher, you know that this was going to happen eventually. The success you have gained at your age and not to mention your looks. Sooner or later you were going to catch the media's attention."

"But a playboy? Who would want their company bought or taken over by someone called a playboy? It just completely messes up my reputation. I won't be taken seriously - " Christopher ranted as he paced back and forth throwing angry glances at the stack of articles.

"Well, what else did you expect? You're probably one of the richest bachelors in the country and when was the last time you took the same date to more than one event? If it wasn't these pictures, then they probably would have zeroed in on that. You need a solution to establish yourself altogether and not just for this scandal.

Christopher scowled but he knew that Robert had a point. Robert had been working closely with Christopher since Christopher had first taken over the company and started to expand it. The two of them had grown close over the years and Christopher had grown to respect and value Robert's advice and even looked up to him as a mentor/father figure although neither would ever acknowledge the bond that had grown between them.

He had barely gone on more than two dates with a woman, as he always lost interest. Every conversation and move had become so predictable that he felt no spark. Since he valued his time and theirs, he would break things off immediately.

"Ok, let's focus on this first. What do you have in mind? What's the best way to fix this?" he subtly redirected Robert.

"Well, we can't fight this picture. If you try to clarify the pictures you will only draw more attention to this scandal making it worse. You need to acknowledge it and in a way that flips it around on them. For instance, if those were my pictures with my wife, it would have been a private moment and anyone daring to take these pictures would be the one at fault."

Christopher leaned against his desk, hands in his pocket in thought. He watched Annabelle working at her desk with a frown and an idea popped into his head,

"So if these are pictures of me with my wife, this entire situation is flipped?" He mused turning to Robert as the idea solidified in his mind.

"Yes, but Annabelle is not your wife -"

"But if we can show that she was then that resolves this entire issue? I would no longer be a single man, not a playboy and this scandal blows over?" Christopher clarified as he straightened and turned to Robert. Robert gave him a thoughtful look and slowly nodded,

"Yes, it would resolve the entire issue. I have some connections and we can backdate a marriage certificate. Will she agree though?"

Both men turned to look out the glass wall to see Annabelle now making her third cup of coffee with a scowl. Christopher smiled anticipating the argument he had ahead of him.

"I'll take care of that, you get to work on the paper trail and obtaining the certificate while I talk with her

"I'll take care of that, you get to work on the paper trail and obtaining the certificate while I talk with her. Send her in." He told Robert as he turned back towards his desk preparing to convince a complete stranger to marry him.
