Christopher had left his phone on silent as he closed out a few deals and as he left the meeting he turned his phone on to see an alarming number of calls from his security team and Anthony. He immediately called him as he rushed to his car,
"Boss, she ditched me and took the car a couple hours back, I tracked her to the mall using the paparazzi pictures. There's been a shooting at the mall and a few news stories are implying she was involved. Were here at the mall and so is Vitelli but she's nowhere to be seen." Anthony spoke quick and to the point
Christopher cursed under his breath as he quickly got in his car and peeled out of the lot.
Annabelle had pulled into one of the stores and somehow attempted to get to the changing rooms without being seen. Having been in the store before allowed her to have seen the layout and she knew there was just the one way in. The clerks were handling customers as they normally would, the panic after the shot had died down. It seemed that people didn't realize there had been an actual shot fired, perhaps the Vitelli had enough of an influence to get this hushed this quick. She had yanked off Christopher's shirt and tied it tightly around her stomach and continued to apply pressure to reduce the bleeding. By the time she sank to the floor closing the door behind her, she was shivering from what she assumed was loss of blood.
Her chest was heaving as she attempted to calm herself and control her breathing but to no effect.
There was a quiet knock on the door, making Annabelle whimper.
"Mrs. Wringer, is everything alright?" the salesgirl that had attended to her earlier called through the door. Annabelle gasped trying to catch her breath but couldn't answer.
She heard someone attempt to open the door but Annabelle had made sure to lock and jam it shut.
"Mrs. Wringer, should we call -"
"I'm fine, - lost ... phone.. can you call.." Annabelle forced herself to call out silently gasping for breath, she needed to get word to Xavier.
"Right away ma'am. We'll get word to Mr. Wringer." Annabelle whimpered in response wincing at her words but too weak to correct her.
Her mind shifted to being pulled out of the food court and panic filled her once again.
Christopher was out of his car and racing into the mall before his car had even fully stopped. He got there just in time to see Xavier being held back by the Vitelli enforcer as Michael Vitelli paced back and forth in anger.
"Where is she?" Christopher asked as he immediately pushed Luciano back from Xavier and tried to push Xavier back to defuse the situation.
"He has no idea. All he told me is that his men lost her and he want's my help to find her."
Christopher turned back to Michael in question,
"Is she hurt? My men said there was talk of a shooting, that she was involved?" He asked
Before Michael could respond, Anthony reached them, holding out a phone,
"Boss, there's a store that just called for you. They said Mrs. Wringer is looking for you. She's in the changing rooms-"
Before Anthony had finished the sentence, Michael had whipped the phone out of his hand, asking the person on the other line which store and then was running in the direction without another word. Xavier and Christopher were right behind him.
When they got to the store, Michael was jiggling the door to a changing room, Xavier moved in closer trying to get a better look at the door.
"It's jammed and locked. We need to get her to a doctor right away, shes been shot. We have to break down this door." Michael said as he looked back to them.
