Michael moved quicker than both Xavier and Christopher to catch her before she fell and gently lowered her to the couch. Before he had straightened, Xavier was pushing himself between Annabelle and Michael,
"We should get her home, this has been a long day for her." Xavier motioned to Christopher to get the door as he leaned to lift her up, Michael's hand closed on his wrist.
"We should call in a doctor, she just passed out. I'm not letting my daughter, the Vitelli Principessa, just be carried out in this state with the two of you. Let me get her checked out, rested and you can see her then."
Xavier was pushing against Michael and in his face in an insant,
"This state? I've been the one to care of her in this state numerous times over the last decade. If she needed a doctor, you should know damn well I would have one here before you could reach your phone. Now move aside and let me get my little sister out of here. You can have your reunion at another time."
Christopher saw the fury on Michaels face and knew that neither man was going to be backing down anytime soon, so he placed a hand on Xaviers shoulder, slightly backing him up.
"Xavier, does she have any health issues? Should we first focus on a doctor?" Christopher asked prioritizing as he moved over to check on Annabelle.
Shifting the conversation to Annabelle, brought both men over and Xavier leaned forward to check her forehead.
"Did she drink?" Xavier asked as he checked her pulse.
"She went to the bar, but I was further away keeping an eye out for Vitelli-"
"She took 6 shots of vodka in a bet against one of my men to get word to me." Michael interrupted.
Christopher cursed as he moved closer in shock,
"6 shots?! What was your bartender thinking?"
Xavier raked his hair as he straightened,
"She should be ok, she's built a higher than normal tolerance to alcohol. Although she hasn't been drinking in a while and today was stressful. I think she left the cafe without eating earlier so she was probably on and empty stomach. She should be fine in the morning."
"She should still see a Doctor" Michael argued trying to move closer,
"She hates Doctors, and knowing her, she isn't far from hating you-" Xavier started and Christopher quickly cut him off before the situation escalated further,
"I'm taking my wife home. You know I didn't come alone, We can force our way out if we need to. That will only complicate this situation further, you should make the right call Vitelli and we can arrange another meeting once everyone has calmed down." Christopher reasoned as he glanced back and forth between the men.
Michael reluctantly took a step back gesturing to the door, and Xavier moved past Christopher to pick up Annabelle to rush out. Christopher followed him out and let out a relieved breath as they exited the club.
He opened his car door for Xavier to settle Annabelle in, but Xavier moved past towards his own Range Rover.
"I'm not sending her with you in this state." He said over his shoulder, and Christopher slammed the door shut following Xavier.
"That's my wife, you're being ridiculous!" Christopher argued.
Xavier buckled Annabelle in and then turned to Christopher angrily,
"I don't know exactly whats going on with the two of you, but I know her enough to know when she's lying to me. You're not taking her home alone in this condition."
