A Certain Romance

New Beginnings

"Excuse me." I say shocked.
"We need to break up.." Alex repeats hesitantly. Why would he be saying this suddenly?
"Alright Alex. We'll break up..." his eyes go wide,
"IF you give me a good reason why we should." I finish. Alex hesitates and finally says,
"I just think.. well we don't really.. things never go well for us." Alex stumbles around his words. I grasp his hand.
"Alex tell me what the real reason behind all of this is. Does it have to do with your dad?" I ask him.
Alex sighs and finally admits,
"My da' told me we needed to end things together immediately."
"But why would he say that he doesn't even know me?" I question.
"He... he admitted to me he cheated on my mum," Alex pauses
"Alexa... apparently went over one day when I wasn't home and they both..." Alex can't even continue with his sentence but I understand.
"But then why would that make him want us to break up?"
"She took pictures without him knowing and she's apparently threatening to leak them if he doesn't get us to break up." Alex finally admits.
"Alexa? Wait but we saw her get hit by the truck... how is she alive she died?" I say shocked.
"I thought she was gone too apparently she's still out to get us. I don't know what to do anymore." Alex says putting his head on the table.
"I... might have an idea." I say to him. Alex only looks at me confused as I explain we need to go back to his parents home immediately. The drive back to their home seems even longer now given the circumstances but eventually we reach the Turner's house yet again. Alex hurriedly bangs on the door loudly. His dad opens the door shocked to see us both and Alex pushes past him to get in.
"What is the meaning of this Alexander?!" Alex's dad shouts.
"She knows everything da'" Alex sternly tells him. There's a moment of panic in Mr. Turner's eyes before he becomes angry once more.
"Why the fuck would you tell her Alex this wasn't a part of the plan." He yells.
"Because I'm not going to give up my perfect relationship to save your sorry nonce self from your own mistakes!" Alex screams at him. They're both on edge and I decide to comfort Alex in an effort to calm him down.
"Sit if I may interrupt, I have a solution to all of this." I say shyly.
"The only solution is for you to leave my son's life for good." David says still angry.
"At least hear her ou before being a miserable cunt to her." Alex interjects. Before his dad can snap at him again I say,
"Listen Mr. Turner this is your mess and I'm helping you out because I'm a decent human being, are you really going to make your son miserable for the rest of his life because you chose to sleep with some girl half your age?" David finally stays quiet.
"That's what I thought. Now listen closely this is what we'll do..." I say beginning to explain the plan. Once I'm finished we all make sure we have the plan memorized and we set things into motion. Alex's dad texts Alexa.
I've done it. They're over. Alex wants to see you at the house to chat about things and apologize.
He immediately gets a response.

I head into the kitchen so that Alexa doesn't see me upon arriving to the house. After about 30 minutes we hear a knock at the door we all nod to eachother and David heads over to open.
"Alexa." Is all David says when he opens the door.
"Oh c'mon love you weren't treating me this cold that night..." She says smirking at him.
"So where's my Alex?" She asks before spotting him sitting on the couch. She immediately runs over to him and tries to plant a kiss on his lips but he turns his head immediately and she ends up kissing his cheek. My blood boils at the sight and I can feel my eye twitch but I restrain myself to make sure the plan goes accordingly.
"Oh don't be like that Alex," Alexa pouts, "I've missed you and you were the one that said you needed to talk." She says twirling his hair.
"Why don't we go speak in my room Alexa." Alex says trying to not be harsh.
"I won't say no to being in your room alone." Alexa smirks. Alex begins leading her upstairs while David gives me the okay to leave the kitcken. Alex goes to open his door and immediately moves out of the way as we hear,
"Alexa Chung you are under arrest for a criminal threat, photographing without consent, and blackmail. Hands where we can see them!" The officers hiding inside of Alex's room yell.
"What the fuck! You two bellends set me up! Don't think you've won just yet Alex Turner you will be mine. I'll make sure that prat pays for taking you from me!" Alexa screams as the police drag her into the squad car. She's still screaming as they begin to take off and her screams ride off along with her.
"We actually did it! The plan worked!" Alex exclaims right before going in for a deep kiss. Alex leaves me breathless and I can't help but smile at him.
"Listen y/n..." Alex's dad begins awkwardly, "I'm truly sorry about what I've done, I'm disgusted with myself for the actions I took and for what I was trying to do with my son's life. I understand if you don't want to form a relationship with me but I can see how happy you make my son and I do think you'd make a lovely addition to the family." He finishes saying.
"Listen Mr. Turner what you did was awful and selfish, but at the end you still chose to do what was right. Why don't we start like new? Hello Mr. Turner my name is y/n and I can't wait to be a part of the family." I smile and go to shake his hand. David smiles back.
"Ello y/n I'm David Turner, I can't wait to see you and my son marry you both make a lovely couple."
Alex smiles as everything is resolved and things can go back to the peaceful way they were.
