After I came back down I quickly took a shower and did a soft makeup, it was just a dinner but it was with my dad's colleague so I still had to look presentable.

I decided to go for  a  yellow summer dress , it was almost time to go so I quickly ran down the stairs to start the car, there was most probably going to be wine involved so I was the designated driver.

A couple of minutes later we arrived to a big house, which seemed familiar to me, that's when it hit me and so I asked my dad

" Dad, what did you say were you're coligues name was?" Antony Miller

Nonono, it couldn't be THEM please no, I said in my head.

"We are just a few minutes away, we know when we get there when we see..." said my dad

The big iron fences- I replied

Yes, their house is almost glass looking

As we pulled up there couldn't be any more confirmation it was Philip and Christopher's house.

We made our way up to the stairs, when a nice, elegant lady welcomed us into the house, she introduced herself as Mrs. Miller

We were welcomed in and told to wait for a second for Mr. Miller he was just finishing a meeting.

I think that since Friday night was so caótic I didn't notice the true beauty of the house, the foyer was very grand and was decorated with a combination of grey and white accents. Looking around something that also caught my eye was a beautiful crystal  candlelight illuminating the space.

A few minutes later a man a little older that my dad announced himself.

" Greyson Davis, Welcome to my humble cavern" he said in a sarcastic way as both him and my dad shook hands.

"It's nice to see you Anthony, it's been so long.......; Emily, Emily, Emily" said my dad starting to call me but I was to concentrated looking at a beautiful art piece.

Oh, my apologies. I'm Emily, nice to meet you Mr. Miller.

I've heard a lot of things about you promising young lady.

Hahaha- I laughed awkwardly

Your dad told me you have recently gone back to high school,

Yes Sir, I got pulled down a year unfortunately.

Oh, that's very unfortunate then, I guess you don't know then my son Philip and my nephew Christopher.

Almost like in a movie Philip started coming down the stairs he embodied the typical preppy nice boy . I tried not to look up to him .

After a few minutes in the foyer Mrs. Miller told us that we were going to dine in the backyard.
We made our way to it and passed the kitchen.

Like all of the Miller's house the backyard was beautiful, it had a big family camping wood table ( but somehow very fancy)

Philip come for a second! - Mr. Miller called.

This is Emily Davis, she's Greyson's daughter.

Hi, Em how's everything.

Hi. Good.

Very well I see you guys know each other, perfect.

Antony!!! - Mrs Miller called him

Duty Calls- Said Mr. Miller rushing to Mrs Millers help who was trying not to set the backyard on fire.

My mom's not the best at cooking beware, we got this new grill recently and she thought today would be the best day for trying it out.

Hahahaha, it smells nice though

If you like pomme de Tere brûlée ( burnt potato) you are in for a treat.

That is my favorite food what a coincidence!

So, I didn't see you today at seventh period

Oh yeah, is that I had to take my pre SAT math portion, it was a disaster.

Somehow talking to Philip didn't feel akward at all, for I moment I had forgotten about Friday.

A few minutes later, dinner was served it was a beautifully cooked (burned) chicken with pomme de Tere brûlée and chickpeas.

The dinner was chatty for the most part, still I noticed that Philip kept checking his watch constantly, as well as Mr. Miller, sharing stares from opposites of the table.

Still I didn't ask Philip anything about it, we were halfway into the diner, when I heard someone trying to get in from the back door which I was close to.

I leaned closer to Philip and told him, that was when he quickly stood up and excused himself and walked towards the back door.

Almost immediately Mr. Miller did the same.
My parents kept talking with Mrs Miller but I was looking at the roble door when I noticed someone come in.

Christopher Albert  Miller, where the hell were you!, you're almost 2h late.
Said Mr Miller in a demanding tone.
