It is a poem that I wrote to enter into the 'Aage Ki Soch' contest.
Written on 15th of April 2020, it is a letter that I wrote to my older self. As the whole world is going through the corona crisis right now, this poem is my expression of hope and a list of advice to myself.
Hopefully, the corona crisis will be solved after two months. I will then have to make decisions about the college that I go to, and the career path that I choose.
Apart from all of that, this poem gives a general lesson that has to be learnt from such pandemics.
Two months up the hill of time
You will, my love, read this rhyme
The wicked vacation will find its end
And people will begin to blend
When the gates open for your journey ahead
Thank the blessings said, unsaid
And tread the path your conscience says
To liberate yourself from remorseful haze
Take care, sweetheart, wherever you venture
Of yourself and of tormented nature
For that torment has brought our doom
Past's mistakes have caused our gloom
Dear Future, please learn from Past
So that your future may actually last
After all, she's my future too
For now though, I must bid adieu
