Chapter 16: Your A What?

It's been about a week since me and Jasper started talking again. We are pretty much dating but we haven't really made it official yet. I haven't told Jasper what Josh did. I can't even think about it without crying. Anyways after school I was going to hang out with Jasper but when I got to school he wasn't there. I asked one of Bella's friends Jessica if she knew why, she told me the Cullen's parents take them out when it's sunny to go hiking and stuff. 'That doesn't sound like the Cullen's. But they all aren't here so maybe it is true' I thought. So instead of hanging out with him I decided I would go to my special spot. When I got there I sat down and started thinking while looking at the scenery. I started thinking about Josh and all of that and I started crying, my special spot is usually where I do all of my thinking... And crying. I cried for a long time and then I noticed Jasper was there. "How long have you been here?" I asked. "About 30 minutes." He said walking over to me. He sat next to me and pulled me onto his lap. I cried more. "What did he do?" He finally asked. "He.... He..... Raped me.." I said crying harder. He got angry. I could feel his arms tense up. He started to get up saying "I'm going to kill him." But I stopped him. "He's already gone Jasper. What's done is done, you can't undo it." He looked at me sadly. I could tell he felt guilty and sad. "It's not your fault Jasper." He looked down "It kind of is, if I didn't leave you wouldn't have dated that asshole." I walked up to him and hugged him. "Just make sure it never happens again." I whispered to him. "Now that you have told me that, I need to tell you something." He said backing away a bit. "Please don't freak out, I will explain everything, and I understand if you don't want to have anything to do with me." "I don't think you could do anything to make me not want anything to do with you." I said. "Okay here goes nothing. I'm a vampire." He said. I laughed "Yeah and I'm a werewolf." I said laughing. When I looked up he wasn't laughing. "Your joking right?" I said. He shook his head no. "Vampires don't exist Jasper." I said "yes they do. I know because I am one, I'm way faster than any human-" he ran out of the cave in a blur and came back with a dozen roses and handed them to me "I'm way stronger than any human-" he got a giant boulder and crushed it in his hands "and that's why I'm so cold." He said touching my cheek with his hand. I just stared at him in awe. 'That can't be possible' I thought. Then I realized that if he really was a vampire he drinks blood. Fear set in and I started back up until I hit the wall. 'Fuck' I thought 'I'm trapped' he looked at me confused then realized what I was thinking "No, no we don't drink human blood!" He said walking towards me I started scooting to the side "Then what do you drink Jasper?" I said 'human blood is all there is.' I thought. "We call ourselves vegetarians, we drink animal blood. If I drank human blood my eyes would be a crimson red." He said. 'Hmmm.... I'm still not sure...' I thought. "If I was going to kill you, don't you think I would have done it by now?" 'I guess that's true...' I thought. "I guess that's true." I said. He smiled in relief. "Even if I did drink human blood I would never be able to hurt you." He said coming up to me. I looked up into his eyes. "Why?" "Because your my mate." He said putting his hand on my cheek. "Mate?" I asked. "Yeah there's a lot to explain." He said. He explained everything to me. About mates, about animal blood, about blood singers, about his family. When he was done it was about 6. "I better get you back before Charlie kills me." Jasper said getting up. He held out his hand for me and I took it. He pulled me up a little to hard and I almost flew into the cave wall, but he caught me. "I'm so sorry!" He said. "It's fine, your not used to humans." I said giggling a little. On the way back he was talking and said something about Alice seeing the future. "Wait Alice can see the future??" I asked surprised. "Yes, sometimes vampires get powers. For example Alice's future seeing. Edward can read minds, Rosalie has extreme beauty, she's even more beautiful than normal vampires, Emmett is amazingly strong, again more than normal vampires, Carlisle has compassion, that's how he can be a doctor and not drink people's blood, Esme is maternal, that's why she's so motherly, and last but not least I can feel and manipulate emotions." I stared at him. "What??" He chuckled. "Yes, I knew how you felt about me the moment I met you." He said. "And have you ever manipulated my emotions?" I asked. I all of a sudden felt really happy and hyper. Then it was gone. "Yes I have. The happiness you just felt was me." He said giving me a side glance. "Oh. My. God. That's sooo cool!" I said. All of a sudden I felt really sad and depressed and like I should just die. Then it was gone again. "Okay that wasn't cool." I said looking at him.
