My version of the story proceeding after the ending of Your Name which leaves us at a cliff hanger. Frankly the story, the animations, the characters everything was sheer brilliant in the movie. I hereby make this Fan Fic as a "tribute" I could say...
It's been 2 years since Taki and Mitsuha met , they've been in a happy relationship ever since they got together and they both kept on motivating each other and supported each other the whole way through.
But today, Taki wanted to take it to the next step. He wanted to propose to Mitsuha and he knew nothing else can be a better time than right now, The whole gang was going out today to enjoy the snowfall on the frozen Itomori river.
It was already 7 am , he woke up and prepared himself for what to say to her while proposing. The whole gang was supposed to meet at the railway station at 11 am, so he kinda had ample of time on his hand.
He pulled out a small box and opened it up and bent on one knee in front of a mirror trying to practice.
"Uh...Mitsuha...uh" he tried as hard as he can , but he just couldn't form words. He kept on trying to find words and just tried again and again but just couldn't continue.
His eyes went on the thread she gave to him again, the very one which was given by her when he didn't knew her. He wrapped that thread around his wrist, it was always his lucky charm and always gave him plenty of confidence for anything that he wished to do.

Before he knew it , it was already 10. He beamed up to the bathroom getting fresh and preparing himself for the big day that was about to commence. He quickly ate his breakfast almost choking from eating rapidly.
He hurried out towards the station reaching there around 10:50. His eyes gazed upon Mitsuha and her sister already there sitting in a cafe nearby with Okudera.
"Man the girls always beat us to the race, don't they" came a voice.
Taki looked behind and saw a panting Tsukasa, then replied "Yeah" smiling.
The two made their way towards them, Soon Shinta also joined them and they all headed out in the train on their trip to Itomori.
The group exchanged laughter from embarrassing stories of each other, playing cards or eating lunch. Enjoying the moment to the fullest, Taki was also busy thinking how is he gonna pull off the proposal.
Soon enough they stepped off on the station nearest to Itomori and got a taxi to take them to Itomori. Itomori's frozen lake kind of became a hidden gem that only a few about. The snow that covered the lake was just too thick to break , combined with the breathtaking view it was just perfect.
When they reached their , Shinta and Tsukasa immediately started a snowball fight with each other joined by Okudera and Yotsuha. Mitsuha wanted to join but she saw Taki's face, it looked kind of stressed?
"Taki" she said looking right at him, he didn't acknowledge it and kept looking at the mountains nearby where the shrine was , where they met in magic hour and where she became her girlfriend.
"Taki" she raised her voice slightly this time and it worked.
Taki quickly recovered from his dozed off self and looked right at Mitsuha, "yeah?" he replied.
