My version of the story proceeding after the ending of Your Name which leaves us at a cliff hanger. Frankly the story, the animations, the characters everything was sheer brilliant in the movie. I hereby make this Fan Fic as a "tribute" I could say...
The sun shined over Tokyo majestically and with that a new day awaited our two loved protagonist.
Taki woke up with a ever bright smile on his face remembering the previous day with Mitsuha. It was his first peaceful sleep since the last 5 years and he knew the reason very of the peacefulness very well. He looked out his window with a sheer confidence for the day ahead of him.

He got up and got fresh quickly before having breakfast with his dad who's up and ready for his job. He sat down on the chair , grabbed his plate and started eating his breakfast.
"You look happy today Taki, mind telling me what is it that you're happy about?" asked his dad with a proud smile on his face.
"Uh whaaa..it's nothing" he exclaimed with his cheeks getting red.
His dad got a vague idea that it has to do with a girl seeing his son blush and smile after 5 years when he out of blue went all the way to Itomori to find something.
"Sure son, but i'll like if you make me meet her you know" he said with a wink before getting up and heading towards the door leaving a stunned Taki behind. "Anyway, see ya" he continued before heading out the main door closing it behind him.
"How does he....." he thought but then broke out of his trance when he saw his phone vibrating and beeping. He picked it up and saw.

He tapped on it
Morning Taki.
Sorry i forgot to reply to you last night, i just came back and drifted into sleep. Anyway yeah lets meet around 5:30 pm! I'll message you the location at 5. Also good luck for your interview today!

He smiled looking at the message then replied.
With your wishes i'm sure my interview will be going fantastic today, see ya later today!
He put the phone down and finished his breakfast then headed in his room and got changed into his suit. Then beamed out of his house looking at the city in front with a confidence that he can take over the city if he desires so.
With that he heads towards the train station and boards his train that is headed towards the place where he have his interview today. He checks his phone for any message but rather sees the time and realises he's late. Once he gets off the train he runs towards the building and makes it just in time for his interview.
Time skip 40 mins later
"So Mr. Tachibana what does your design as a architect offer our company and why should we hire you?" asked one of the interviewer.
Taki took a deep breath and then started, "Sir , As i architect i want to build and design cities that makes memories , Memories of love , Memories of fun , Memories with loved ones. Just like Itomori i dont know if you guys have heard of the place, it was the one that got destroyed by the comet that fell 8 years ago. I saw the place with my own eyes , it was just beautiful and peaceful one thing i want my designed place to be..." he said looking at the HR people in front of him.
The HR stood silent before one of them spoke up.
"It sure is an interesting Idea Mr. Tachibana , we just have got a important project on the very place you just described. We'll have to redesign Itomori and fix it up and you may be very person that helps our company achieve that" said one of the person
"Yeah , he's right i think you're perfect for our company. And as the owner i accept your application Mr. Tachibana. Welcome aboard, we'll contact you in a week and your job will start in a month. Till then i give you a small task of recreating Itomori , may it be in drawings. You'll be paid aswell" said another guy
Taki's eyes teared up a bit from joy, after very long time of failure and constantly finding someone he found the one he was finding and his life finally started treating him good.
"Thank you so Much..." he bowed and then exited the room.
He took out his phone and saw the time , it was 4:30 so he had some time on his hand before he had to meet Mitsuha. He messaged Shinta and Tsukasa to meet him in a nearby cafe and was ready to tell them about his job.
Both Tsukasa and Shinta knew its something regarding his job so they decided to throw a small party , they also invited Okudera without telling him.
The group soon reached the cafe and was waiting for Taki and soon enough he was there. At first he was surprised to see Okudera but knew his friends involve her in his plans aswell.
"So , whats the sudden call for?" Asked Tsukasa. Other two just stared at Taki.
"Well you see.... I got a job!" He started out normal but then screamed in happiness.
The three cheered on him and ordered their food while talking about his new job and his first task which was to rebuild Itomori. The three was shocked when they heard Itomori , it was the place Taki went 5 years ago in search of a girl that apparently died 3 years before they visited. The group was just talking before Taki's phone buzzed, their attention went on the lock screen of his phone where it said.

Taki quickly picked up his phone to read the message.
Can we meet at the cafe near the Larsen Corp's office?
His eyes widened , the cafe she was suggesting was the same he was sitting in right now.
What luck , i'm here with my friends already. Come join us!
He replied then waited for a reply which he got almost instantly.
