My version of the story proceeding after the ending of Your Name which leaves us at a cliff hanger. Frankly the story, the animations, the characters everything was sheer brilliant in the movie. I hereby make this Fan Fic as a "tribute" I could say...
Taki started leading the way to the nearest cafe , without any second thoughts mitsuha reached out to his hands and grabbed it tightly. Taki looked at her , smiled and then interlocked his fingers aswell. The two made their way to the cafe nearby and it was none other than the one taki used to work at.

The two quickly grab a seat near the window. They both sit there with a awkward silence both hoping the other person to break the silence. Finally the silence between them is broken apart , not by either of them but the waiter that came to take the order.
"My name is Mathew, I'll be your server today. What would you like to order?" he said Looking at the two.
"A strawberry pastry with a lemonade please!" Said Mitsuha.
"I'll take a coffee" said Taki
"Sure, It'll be here in a second" said the waiter as he noted it down and beamed away.
"So how's life been for you? you need to tell me everything that happened that day!" said Taki looking at Mitsuha with a jolly smile on his face.
"It's been good , most of the people reacted to the drill and evacuated the city and went towards the high school. Everyone was surprised that the timing was so good but shrugged it off as they were happy to be alive. My little sister was scared and was hugging me tightly crying. My dad was still in state of shock as on how i predicted it. Granny on the other hand was happy for all of us surviving it, after a while when the police came to save the people and evacuate she told me and i quote "So it seems that guy really loves you" she said and went ahead to sit in a car with my dad and sister. I stood there stunned but as i couldn't remember your name or face i just cried all the way back in the car.... until now" she said with a bit of tears in her eyes.
Taki was just blown away hearing about that, he just wanted to see her again and sitting with her in a cafe was a dream come true , even though he couldn't remember her name or face, He never stopped searching which was the case for Mitsuha aswell.
"Mitsuha.... you.. you have no idea how much you sitting there right in front of me mean to right now-" he was cut off by the waiter coming back with a plate in his hand and taking a plate out from it and placing it front of Mitsuha that had the pastry, he then proceeded to put the Lemonade right to the side of the pastry then placing the coffee near Taki.
"Enjoy your meal!" he said before turning around and going to the next table to tend.

Mitsuha took out her phone and took a photo of the cake before eating it. A memory then hit taki.
"You still love taking photo of the pastries you eat?" he said with a slight chuckle
"Yeah, it's kind been a thing ever since we used to switch places" she replied with a wink.
"So tell me about what's up in your life ever since the day we last met?" she asked with a cute smile.
"It's been... how do i put it...empty? i guess. Me being a idiot that i am forgot to write your name on my hand when i still remembered it and kept on repeating it in my head but i ended up forgetting it. Since then it just feels empty, Like i was searching for something and i was searching for it really bad. Aside from that, I'm job hunting as of now but it's not too well either...but i found you again and i feel like that heaviest weight was taken off from my body" he said staring right into her Auburn eyes which started to tear up after what Taki said.
"Taki... it's been same for me. I'm glad that i found you again, But i fear something" she replied with moist eyes.
"What is it?" asked Taki.
"It's just i feel like , I'm in a dream right now..... and when i wake up i would have forgotten about you ... again... i just don-" said Mitsuha before getting cut off by Taki.
"It's not a dream Mitsuha, i've already pinched myself over 100 times now. Here lets exchange contacts" he said offering his phone to her.
She looked into his dark blue eyes for a moment before noding slightly before exchanging her own phone as they typed in each other's contact name and saved it. Mitsuha called Taki from her phone just to confirm it again.
"Cant trust me?" he chuckled
"yes because one of us here has a habit of not writing their name on other's wrist you know" she replied chuckling aswell.
A memory Hit Taki again, where he was supposed to write his name on Mitsuha's wrist but wrote his feelings for her instead.

His cheeks just went as red as her Pastry at the point and he nervously chuckled scratching his hair. Mitsuha chuckled at the sight but decided to talk about this later. The two just talked about how life has changed for them and before they knew it was already night.
"I guess we gotta head out now, it sure is getting dark" said Taki.
"Yeah.." she replied.
They paid the bill and headed outside the cafe towards the railway station. Mitsuha again grabbed his hand and interlocked her fingers, smiling at him. Taki looked over her and smiled back. Soon the two reached the Railway station and Mitsuha was ready to board her train
"Thanks for today Taki" she said with a ear to ear smile.
"Thats my line! anyway see you tomorrow if you're free?" he asked. She nodded and starting heading towards the train.
But before that she stood up on her toes and Pecked Taki on his lips, "See you tomorrow !" she said before running into her train smiling at the dazed out Taki from the window. Taki soon got rid of his trance as the train started moving, he waved his hand looking at Mitsuha as the train got out of his sight.
He soon got into his train and headed back home. A while later he reached home , he got fresh ate some dinner and went straight to bed. He couldn't stop thinking about Mitsuha when he got a idea to text her. He picked his phone and started composing a text.
"Let's catch up after 5 tomorrow ?" he thought about it and then pressed send. Then he turned off the lights and drifted into slumber with a slight smile on his face.
