Jeongguk didn't expect Taehyung to have red eyes and tear stained cheeks when he arrived, but he did. The younger had to enter from the back door, to avoid the older's family, and they kept quiet while they made their way to Taehyung's bedroom, luckily not bumping into anyone. Taehyung closed the door behind him, silently sniffing.
Jeongguk went to hug him, and they stayed like this for a while. The younger couldn't stop thinking about how weird their relation was. He knew Taehyung liked him, Taehyung knew that he knew, but it felt natural to just act like oblivious friends. For now at least.
Jeongguk then let him go to get in bed. Taehyung switched off the light, locked the door and went to join him. This time, Jeongguk went to hug him, not the other way around. He put his head on the older's shoulder and sneaked his arm around his tiny waist. Taehyung relaxed right away.
"So i'm guessing they didn't react well." Taehyung hummed, getting closer to the younger.
"They didn't believe me because "there is no fagg in this family" and called off the dinner."
"Wait what?" Jeongguk exclaimed. He didn't think it went that bad, considering Taehyung didn't sound very mad when texting. He held him tighter, while Taehyung sighed sadly. Jeongguk then moved his hand to the other's hair, stroking his locks lightly.
"This isn't a really good time to have a guy in your bedroom then?"
"Not really no. But my parents asked Joon's parents to leave so he had to leave too. I think it was better like this though because he looked like he was about to blow up."
Jeongguk chuckled imagining Namjoon getting mad. He would like to see this happen, because he didn't look like the fighting type. But again, Seokjin didn't either but he still punched Yugyeom.
"He would be perfect for Jin." Jeongguk said.
"I know! We really have to get them together!"
"Maybe we can go out during the holidays with them?"
"You should come to my party with him."
Jeongguk sighed. He really, really didn't like partys. But if he could get his best friend with his crush, maybe he could make an exception. The younger nuzzled his face in the other's neck, feeling him tense at the contact, humming.
"I'll ask him if he wants to go. But if I tell him Namjoon will be there he will probably say yes."
Taehyung giggled, relaxing. After this, they fell silent for a few minutes. Jeongguk could feel the sleep taking over him, when suddenly he realised something and gasped.
"Wait I don't have a present!"
"It's fine you are the present. Now shut up I want to sleep."
