2150"Ten minutes 'til target. Be ready."
Let's get this shit done...
Once the ten minutes were up, right on que, Kirk came waltzing through the elevator doors. The idiot didn't even realize that his bodyguards had been taken out. Too consumed by whatever the hell was happening on his phone.
Might also be the drug we put in his water... but that's irrelevant.
I scanned the room, making sure everybody was still in position. Checking on the mission crew one more time before we had to take action. My sight settled on a man who was giving off a strange feeling. He seemed to blend in perfectly with the rest of the rich snobs in this place. There was something off about him though. Something scarily familiar about the scar on the back of his neck, and the leather gloves covering his hands.
It didn't take long to realize why I took notice of him. He was watching my team. Something was seriously off here. Shit he has an ear piece. There are more of them. They know we're here.
"Digit, we've been compromised. Someone either ratted us out or this Kirk guy knows more about us than we realized."
"What the hell do you mean compromised? Is there somebody in the building who knows we are here?" I could hear her locking the doors to the van and clacking away on her computers.
"Yes. There is a man in here who is paying a little too much attention to my team than I think is necessary. He has an ear piece and is saying shit but I can't make it out." At this point Scythe had noticed my worry and made his way over to me. Keeping his mouth shut and just listening, taking in any information I spewed out.
I patched Scythe through to mine and Digit's call right as she spoke up.
"I need you to give me a description of the guy Reese, Scythe go see if you can locate any other suspicious looking people with ear pieces and a wandering eye."
"On it." He was gone before Digit even finished. He has come a long way, I'm proud of him.
I focused on him through the scope and gave over the information. "He is wearing a gray suit, looks to be about maybe five foot eight, average build. Maybe in his late 40's to early 50's. Caucasian male. Scar on the back of his neck. Black hair that is beginning to gray. I can't see his eye color behind the sunglasses. He also has a tattoo of an old fashioned balance scale on his left wrist."
There were a few moments of silence and then a sharp inhale. I think I know what she found.
"Scythe, I need you to go down to the floor and get the team back to the vans. Reese's and Playboy's. Simon, Reese, and Playboy will be staying in the building. This mission just got a lot worse."
I could hear Scythe beginning to protest but I gave him a look from afar. He looked torn between following orders and listening to his instincts. I nodded at him and smiled. Trying to convey to him how it will be okay and to just listen to what Digit says.
He took the hint and reluctantly left to go get the others. I focused my attention back on the lobby and saw Kirk walk directly towards the aforementioned man in a gray suit. They began talking and I saw Scythe had already gotten Gee, Zack, Ariana and almost all of PB's team out. Damn that kid works quick.
Scythe contacted through to me and let me know the only people left in the building were me, PB, Simon, Arden, Sebastian, and himself. Everyone else was either getting to the vans or were already there. Digit had already told everyone else of the situation, so I had no reason to contact the others. Us already having gone over a situation like this during the briefing.
