Waking up everything was blurry. The room was cold and dim. The air heavy with the smell of iron and chemicals. The smell of burning flesh still lingered....
Home sweet home. I'm back in my room at the facility. I could tell they threw me into my old 'cage' because of the carvings in the wall. They looked more like claw marks. There was also still old dried blood stuck in some of them. I called it torture, but it was fun time for the guards....
Looking around everything was much darker than I remember. The thin white sheets on the bed had been replaced by uncomfortable grey ones. No pillows in sight. The bed frame was still bolted to the floor in the middle of the room. I was now chained to it. The bed and chains are the only differences. That and some new smears of blood from when I first got here.
I crawled into the twin-sized bed. The mattress like rock beneath me. I had no energy left after all the struggling and the extensive amount of times they drugged me so I would shut up. The cold air made me miss him. He constantly complained about the cold... hands always as cold as ice. Yet somehow he made the metal cage around my heart melt as if touched by lava...
With thoughts of Arden on my mind, and my body becoming exhausted, my mind gave in to the remaining effects of the sedatives. Lulling me into a nightmare filled sleep.

Back at Base (3rd Person):
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN!?"
"WE HAVE TO GO AFTER THEM!"
Everyone from the failed mission was gathered in the main meeting room. Adrian was sat in the corner with his arms crossed and his head down. Not having said a single word since everything happened. Simon had refused to leave his temporary room, making an excuse of cleaning his weapons and gear. Digit was unnaturally quiet, the Monster energy drink in her hand being the fifth she has had since the meeting started twenty minutes prior. Adrian's team sat near him but not directly next to him. They were all quiet. Not entirely understanding how dangerous the situation could get.
Things looked different when looking at Reese's team. Team Cruciatu were all in different states of panic and/or denial.
Ariana was sitting in a chair far away from anyone else. Arms crossed and blurry eyes staring blankly across the room. Focused on nothing and no one.
Gee and Arden were in a different state of frenzy all together. While the rest of the room held a heavy feeling, Gee and Arden were in full fight mode. Neither has changed since getting back from the mission. Both still bloody and bruised.
They were yelling at Boss who was sitting at the head of the table. His hands folded and a calm expression on his face. He had denied the request of going after Reese, Scythe, and Zack. Causing Gee and Arden to be in the state they were currently in.
"I'm sorry but my decision is final. Now get. Out. of. My. Office."
Although his expression remained calm, the cold look in his eyes shut everyone up. Only Digit and Adrian knew how he felt, understanding how pissed off he was that the man he had worked so hard to get in the mafia was gone in just under an hour.
Arden was the first to leave. Completely relying on his muscle memory to get him back to his room. Mind too fogged over to think straight. He did not make it to his room though. His feet unwillingly guided him into Reese's room. Arden didn't register this fact until he was standing under the warm spray of the shower in Reese's bathroom. The body wash he was using smelled all too familiar.
Reese and him were always very opposite. There was a bottle of vanilla scented body wash and other miscellaneous vanilla scented items that were in that bathroom specifically for Arden. Yet, he had grabbed the one that smelt like the woods on a cold night and the smoke from the fire as it was dying down.
