There once was a girl
Who wanted to hide

She would spend countless hours in the 
old dusty attic

Reading books about ninjas
And using rope to make ziplines

Every chance she would get

She would ask for
Rope
Books
And Ninja-like Clothing

Most of the kids thought she was weird
Because she kept to herself.

But the girl simply brushed it off
She didn't need friends

I have books
She thought
Stacks and stacks of books!
Stacks so big, they topple over sometimes!

But all that changed on her 10th birthday

It started small
As all problems do

But it slowly got
Bigger
And bigger

And BIGGER

The girl would see them everywhere

"Demons"
She called them

They would pool around in the black mist
That would seep through the floor boards

They would whisper things
Things so bad
That the kid was afraid
To fall asleep

As all kids do
She told his parents

But they didn't believe her

"It's just your imagination sweetie."

But little did they know
That her 'imagination' could
kill

They don't believe me
The girl thought, as she sulked off

And the demons?

They where just getting LOUDER 

The girl wound up at the attic
And pulled out her favorite book

She immersed himself in the book
In hopes of drowning her thoughts

But it was all in vain

So she grabbed the rope
Tying a noose

She tied the rope to the attic rafters
And stepped on a pile of books

SNAP!!!

And it was over

Because nobody
No matter how hard you try

Can hide from their demons
