Prompt: "I can't sleep anymore.."

"No! Leo!" You screamed out as you jolt awake in your bed. You gasped for air as you sat up in your bed, your heart racing drastically making your chest ache.

You scanned around your dark room. The only light was the pale moon light that occasionally peeked through your curtains that swayed to the soft breeze that crept through your opened window.

You take in deep and slow steady breaths as tears weld in your eyes as images from your nightmare flashed in your head.

You bite down on your lower lip as you bring your knees to your chest and pressed your face against your knees.

Your body shook and trembled as you couldn't get the images out of your head, and you were still drained from the longing day of work and house chores. But you were too scared to close your eyes again, and as much as your body cried for sleep you couldn't do it.

You pulled the covers off your body and shivered as your bare skin is kissed my the cool night breeze that filled your room. You get out of bed and closed the window, the moonlight now bathing on your body.

You stepped away from the window and turned back to your bed. Your gaze dropped to the framed photo of you and Leo. A smile formed on your lips as you walk up to your nightstand and hold the framed photo in your hands.

You and Leo have been together for over a few months now and it has been the best relationship you have ever been in. Not a day goes by of how your thankful for the night you had crossed paths with Leo and his brothers on that rooftop.

The photo that was framed was a selfie you had took. You were both in his room, his arms wrapped around you, his face pressed against your neck and you caught the perfect moment of the both of you smiling and laughing with one another.

After a moment of admiring the captured memory you placed the photo back on the nightstand and grabbed your shoes, coat, keys to your apartment and make a run for the door.

If anyone could help you sleep it would be Leo. You didn't know what you were thinking let alone knowing what you were doing till you reached the one alley which would lead to the manhole cover you enter the sewers.

It didn't take long to enter the lair. You made sure to remember the directions Leo had told you in order to find the lair and of course to not get lost.

Not to long after you enter the lair. It was quiet. Not a sound could be heard. Of course the boys were all asleep, including Master Splinter. You sighed, being as quiet as you could as you sneak into Leo's room.

You could just be able to makeout his large figure under his dark navy blue covers. His soft and deep breaths could he heard in the darkness of his room.

You worked down a swallow as you move around his room in order to figure out which side he was facing so you could tap his shoulder and talk to him.

You worked down the hard swallow as you shakily reached out and tapped his shoulder. You waited for him to wake up but nothing happened.

You pursed your lips into a thin line as you tapped his shoulder once again; a little harder this time. Leo only groaned for a moment, stirring under the sheets and went still once again.

"Leo.." you forced out as he scrunched his brows as you nudge his shoulder, "Leo, it's me (Y/n).." you squeaked out as he opened his beautiful ocean blue eyes as his gaze locked on yours.

"(Y/n)?"

At first the turtle in blue thought he was dreaming but once he rubbed his eyes and sat up in bed he then realized he wasn't dreaming at all.

"Hana, what are you doing here?"

"I...I had a bad dream." You forced out as tears weld in your eyes again. "A bad dream?" Leo repeated as you started to regret your decision in coming here.

"I'm sorry that I came here to wake you up. I just..I can't sleep anymore..."

"No baby, it's okay. Come here." He said softly as he gently pulled you into his arms, holding you close as you wrapped your arms around his neck; your tear stained face pressed against his neck.

You both sit there in silence. An arm wrapped tightly around your waist as his other hand gently rubbed your back.

"Would you want to talk about the nightmare Love?" He asked you as he pressed a soft kiss on your forehead.

You closed your eyes, shaking your head in reply as you looked up at him with a pleading gaze, "can I spend the night here with you?"

He smiled, gently caressing your cheek and nodded in reply. "Of course Sweetheart. Anything for you my love." He soothed as you smiled, kissing his cheek in reply as he lays you down on his bed, him then laying beside you as he held you close to him.

And to your surprise you didn't wake up or find yourself falling back into anymore scary nightmares. You fell asleep right in his arms, feeling safe once again.
