The 10th horcrux

The arrival

"Take care of her, ok?" Said the mother of brown long hair as she hugged her oldest child.
"I know what I'm doing mom" Heather said with a little laugh. It was her small sister's first year in Hogwarts and their mother wanted to be sure of every detail.
"Do you have everything Winter?" The mother asked her youngest kid who was hugging her older sister
"Yes mum" she replied. She hugged her mother tightly and went back Heather's arms. Heather kissed her mother and said:
"She's more than ready mum, don't worry"
"I know" the mother gave a little laugh as a tear fell down her cheek "I just can't believe you have grown up so much!". She barely finished the sentence and the bell rang indicating they had to go up the train. They easily found a sit next to a window, so they took advantage of it and as the train started moving they said at the same time: "We love you!". Their mom silhouette disappeared little by little till it wasn't more than a black period in a painting. Winter felt excited, she was about to know what this whole new world her sister told her about since she has memory was all about. She just kept looking through the window as the wonderful landscape went by.
The train was already halfway there and the candy car went next to the wagon where the girls where.
"Do you have some every flavor beans?" Heather said to the the old woman
"Yes, there's 3 boxes left" the lady replied
"Give me 2 please" Heather said as she extended her hand to give the money, the old lady received it and gave Heather the two boxes.
"Anything else?"
"No, thank you" Heather replied and watched as the cart lady left. "Remember these?" She said giving one box to her sibling "The ones cousin Tonks brought us for Christmas"
"Yes! I remember!" Winter replied smiling. She opened the box, and took a pink one with color stamps "I hope this is tutee fruity" she said with a little laugh. She tasted it and it was just like she hoped "Mmm!" Heather laughed and took a red one hoping it was cherry, and it was. Though not as much as her sister or mother, she was really excited, since she entered Hogwarts she knew that place was for her, she finally made the friends and had the experiences she didn't have in the muggle world, and now it was her sister's turn.
It had already been a while and the girls couldn't stop talking. Heather was constantly looking at the window until in one moment while winter was talking to her, she raised her finger and interrupted her
"Sorry but... 3... 2..." She counted back with her fingers and kept looking to the window though she was talking to winter "1... aaaaand we are officially in Hogwarts territory! It's legal to use magic" she smiled and took her wand out. With a movement their clothes changed to Hogwarts' tunics. Heather's had the Ravenclaw badge on the left side of her chest 'on top of her heart' we could say with a blue and silver-bronze tie and scarf, while Winter's just had the Hogwarts badge and no scarf nor tie.
"I'm sorry, what were you saying?" Heather asked smiling
"Nothing, I'm just excited for the house selection" Winter said also laughing a bit
"Well, remember, we will separate and you will probably go with professor McGonagall. She will..." Heather couldn't finish the sentence because her sister did it for her
"She will take us to the great hall where the sorting hat will be... Bla bla bla and I will have a house! You have told me that story a million times sister!" She said laughing already
"I'm sorry, I'm just excited! And don't forget the essential part: The hat takes your choices in consideration" Heather said with a little wink at the end
"How do you know?"
"James told me his father told him that..." Heather was interrupted by Winter when she wasn't even halfway the sentence
"Whoah whoah whoah, what James??"
"James Potter... The son of Harry Potter, you know, your hero, the one that defeated the dark lord...?"
"How dare you not tell me about him!" Winter said surprised but couldn't stop a little laugh from coming out "you know Harry Potter is my greatest hero, why wouldn't you tell me?"
"I did! Two years ag-- oh right, you were sick and I told you for raising your cheers up, sorry sis, I was sure I did. He actually has a brother that is also in first year, Albus. You will probably be great friends, but I doubt you'll be in the same house. I bet you for a Hufflepuff or a Ravenclaw, and Albus would go on Gryffindor... Or maybe Slytherin..? I'm not sure, I could only meet him for a very short time, but he's just like his father, he's between both" She laughed a bit at the end of the frase.
"I will meet a Potter?! That's so awesome!"
Heather couldn't avoid the laugh, she was happy her sister was happy, so they just kept talking about how Hogwarts would be during the last half hour of the ride.
"Be honest Heather..." Winter said after a long conversation "are you dating?"
"Winter!" She was surprised but also had to laugh "I'm just 13! Of course not!", she lowered her voice a little and finished: "But just between you and me... I can't stop thinking about him" and they both laughed as the train stopped and they had to go down.
Once they were going to be divided, Heather kissed Winter in the cheek and said "Good Luck" as she went of to her year.
Winter went up to the boats and sat next to a brown haired boy, with beautiful green eyes
"Hey" she said
"Hi" the boy replied with a very nervous but excited voice
"What's you name?" Winter asked
"I'm Albus... Albus Potter" the boy said as he extended his hand to Winter, who couldn't move for the excitement. She shook his hand gently, though inside she was screaming
"And yours?" Albus asked
"I'm... Winter, Winter Tonks"
"Well, nice to meet you Winter..." Albus thought for a minute "are you the sister of Heather Tonks?"
"Yes!" She replied "and you must be the brother of James!" She finished smiling
"I am. So, our brothers are dating!" As Albus said this Winter's eyes went flat
"What?!" She said impacted
Albus laughed "No, No, it's a joke, they are just "good friends" as my brother says, but I know there's something there"
Winter laughed "Yeah, I think that too".
They arrived Hogwarts and it all went just like Heather said it would, McGonagall received them, she gave a little speech, and they entered to the great hall. The hat also talked for some minutes, and at least it wasn't as ugly as Winter thought. Then McGonagall started calling student by student, till it was Albus' turn. Winter watched as he moved his mouth muttering 'not in slytherin... Not in slytherin...' And the hat made it public:
"Just like the father... What does The potter have against slytherin? I guess they want to stay loyal to the house of...Gryffindor!" Albus vent victorious to the Gryffindor's table, and then they called a couple students more before Winter. You could see Heather biting her lip, smiling as Winter got the hat on. The hat started talking as if it couldn't decide.
"What are you looking for little girl?" The hat pronounced "You are brave... But not a Gryffindor... You are loyal... But not a Hufflepuff...You are smart... But so cunning..." In that moment she got scared, Heather told her that Slytherin was where most of the evil wizards came from, but if she was in that house she wouldn't be less proud, still she couldn't be afraid of being in Slytherin. Some seconds in silence passed by when suddenly the hat said:
"Ravenclaw!!". Heather extended her arms and Winter went running next to her. "I'm so proud of you" Heather whispered in Winter's ear. They finished picking the students And they went to their bedrooms. Heather kissed Winter in the cheek and said "Good night" for then leaving her with the rest 1st year Ravenclaws. She went up to her room, turned to pijamas with a spell Heather taught her, and went to sleep.
"I can't wait 'til tomorrow" Winter thought. She closed her eyes and felt asleep, waiting for the next day to come. This was just the start of her new adventure.
