Lizabeth's POV
I felt fuzzy and warm like I was wrapped up in my mom's blankets. The feeling of contentment washed over me. Then the smells hit me: strawberries, fresh cookies, chocolate, and citrus. I bolt straight up, images of me being trapped inside my own body erupting in my head, the events unfolded painfully in my mind. I grip my head and hold back a scream, I felt ready to explode from the onslaught of pain and noises in my head. When it dies down to a bearable throb I release my hair from shaky fingers, take a deep and look around. I was home but it didn't feel like home. It felt....fake.
"You're awake." A deep voice makes me jump.

Appearing from thin air was a mountain of a man looking down at me with relief. His eyes were comforting, like a nice warm bath. When he sits on the edge of the bed the whole thing creaks with effort. The smell of peppermint comes with the large man sitting next to me. "Where am I?" I ask.

He chuckles softly. "I knew this illusion wouldn't trick you but I thought it would be easier for you to comprehend things." He looks at me with blue eyes. "You are in Olympus Lizabeth. Do you remember what happened?" I nod. "Well the spell Hades used collapsed on itself just as Persephone brought us back here and it carried you with us."

When I began to panic he sets a warm hand on mine. "You aren't dead, you just accidentally came along with us. Like a stowaway." The large god smiles softly. "I figured you should rest before you send you back. And I know you have questions."

All I could do was nod, I was still shocked that I was Olympus. That I sat here talking to a god. THAT I HELPED DEFEAT HADES! I try to find my voice again and when I do it comes out croaky and raw. "What is going to happen now? To Hades? To Earth?"

The god sighs and runs a hand through his salt and peppered hair. "My older brother will face the consequences of his actions, I was able to patch up old wounds with the gods' so that we can work together on this. And Earth will be fine, sweetheart. There will be many hardships to unite the people now that this feud is over." His large hand cups my face and I lean into it feeling extremely comfortable. "I have a feeling that they are in good hands though."

He drops his hand and I close my eyes and take a deep breath. "I thought I screwed everything up." It comes out a whisper but I know the god heard it.

"No mortal with my blood could screw something up." The god bristled with pride. "The Fates do not clarify much in their prophecies so I understand the uncertainty. You did what you thought best Lizabeth and you did great."

The praise makes me smile, the god made me feel comfortable. Zeus was a pretty good God grandparent. Try saying that ten times fast. "What happened to Finnick?"

The god frowns at that. "What my brother did to that boy was unacceptable but I was able to erase his memories- and everyone's for that matter. He should be fine and back in California studying art."

"Can I go home?"

Zeus nods. "Of course but there's one more thing I want to tell you."

I cock my head to the side and stare at the King of Olympus. He smiled kindly at me. "There is no law against the heir of a Keeper marrying a Mythic. Just keep that in mind when choosing a partner."

Before I could ask what he meant Zeus leans in and kisses the top of my head and I fall onto the bed deep asleep.

Authors note: sorry for the short chapter I have been pretty busy lately and don't have much time to write. I will update when I can.....hope you enjoy 😊
