Marinette's Path to True Love

Chapter 3: The Date

It was the day of the date. Luka had the stage ready. All the members of Kitty Section have shown up. Marinette has shown up with the macaroons plus drinks.

"Hey, Luka." Marinette kisses and hugs Luka. "This is for you. It's a blueberry flavored macaroon, your favorite." Juleka looks onward and smiles.

Luka smiles and takes a bite. Marinette asks: "So do you like it?" Luka replies: "Like it? I LOVE it!" "I especially love that you put our initials on it" he whispers remembering his promise. After they finish eating, they walk up to the stage where all the members of Kitty Section greeted them.

"So what did you say to Marinette when she arrived?" "Ummm..." Luka tries to find an excuse to cover up what took them so long. Luckily, Juleka rushed in and said: "He was pleased that Marinette showed up and was so kind to bring in food and drinks." Luka and Juleka both wink at Marinette. Marinette breaths in.

"Hey, girl." Marinette's best friend, Alya shows up. "Nice to see you. Can I ask you a question?" "Su-sure". "Are you in a relationship with Luka?" "No." "You're turning red, you know. Tell the truth." "Fine, I'm in a relationship. My feelings for Adrien are slowly fading away. Please don't tell anyone. I'm not ready to reveal my new relationship. And how do you know about that?"

"Girl, I noticed that you don't talk about Adrien that much anymore. And you started hanging out with Luka. Sorry to say, but I oversaw you kissing Luka." Marinette appears to faint. "But don't worry, your secret is safe from me. If you don't want anyone else to know, I won't tell anyone." "Thanks, Alya." They give each other a quick hug.

Just then, guess who shows up? It's the last friend of Marinette's that she wanted to see. If you guessed Adrien, you are totally right.

"Hey, Marinette." "Oh, umm hey, Adrien. Nice to see you." Marinette does her best to give a smile. Noticing that Marinette would definitely have trouble, Luka quickly walks up to Adrien. "It's very awesome of you to show up. Your father let you attend the concert this time?" "Yeah, he was feeling nice. For once, he actually thinks I deserve a break from my classes and told me that I deserve to have some fun with my friends."

"Great to hear!" said Luka. "Juleka, can you check the guest list? Is everyone here?" After quickly looking over the list, Juleka nods. "Alright then, we'll start the concert in 5 minutes. In the meantime, why don't you help yourself to a few refreshments? Marinette, I need you for a minute. Could you follow me?"

Luka and Marinette head up to his room. "So how are you feeling so far?" "I'm feeling great. All my friends are you. Most importantly, I'm glad you're here for me." Luka for the first time turns red. "I'm so glad to hear that Marinette. I always knew you were right for me from the very first time I met you. Are you ready?" "You know, as much as I like the concert you're holding for me, I would prefer for us to be alone after." "I understand. We can do that after. Now let's go out!"

The concert was a huge success. Adrien wished that Ladybug was part of the audience so that he could transform into Chat Noir and perform his song for her. Tikki and Plagg were secretly dancing up in the air where no one noticed. Everyone had a good time.

Afterwards, Luka and Marinette said goodbye and thank you to everyone who came. Then, after some romance, Marinette gave Luka one last surprise. It was a blue rose that was the same color as Luka's hair. Luka kissed Marinette and said he would keep it in his room. He let Marinette choose one of his Jagged Stone souvenirs. "You know, we should do this again sometime." "I know." "See you." Marinette waved and smiled on her way home.
