Chapter 3: Face to Face

Luka POV

"Mari, what are you doing, shouldn't you be in class?" I responded.

"I have something to tell you, but I'm not so sure if you would believe me that-"

"Look, I already know that you and Adrien are dating. It's okay. You two have been through a lot and I don't want to mess that up or interfere with that. So, let's just forget about us even being a thing or even having feelings." To be honest, it was actually kind of hard to say that but hopefully Marinette gets the idea.

"I don't think that's possible, Luka."

"What do you mean, Mari?"

"You've been there for me even when Adrien didn't even like me back, and you always are. But please, don't let your feelings for me go, because right now, mine are complicated, and I still have to make up from hurting you."

"Yeah, I get it. I'll let you fix this mess on your own, but let me know when you need me, okay?"

"I will. I have to head to class, so see you later?"

"Actually, let's go together. I don't wanna bail out on you."

I noticed her face turned a bit rose gold. But even so, we both went into the building and walked into Ms. Bustier's class.

"Good morning Marinette and Luka." she said.

"Good morning." We both replied.

I went to go sit next to Juleka on the top row, while I saw Marinette sit next to Alya. By the looks of it, it seemed like she and Adrien were upset with her. I swear, if they do anything to hurt her, I'm done.

Marinette POV

"Girl, where have you been? And why were you walking with Luka to class?" Alya whisper shouted.

"He wanted to walk with me. Why are you so worried about it?" I replied.

Adrien turned back. "Why wouldn't I be worried? He might be luring you to have feelings for him, and last time I checked, you have a boyfriend, me. I don't want that to happen."

"Adrien, my feelings are complicated as it is right now, and there's nothing you can do if I supposedly did have feelings for him because last time I checked, you didn't even realize I was Ladybug."

Adrien kept quiet for a few seconds. "Ugh, I don't want to hear it anymore." He said and turned back.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. Please, what does he know? He may be my boyfriend, but I don't understand why he even got mad. I mean Luka is not a bad person, and he isn't forceful about anything. Even Alya got in this too. Sometimes I wonder if they are even worth my time and energy with them.

Time Skip After Class

Once class was over, I avoided Alya at all costs. Luckily it was an advantage that my next class she wasn't in. As I walked upstairs, Luka tapped me by my shoulder and talked to me.

"You okay, Marinette?" Weird. He usually calls me Mari.

"Yeah. Me and Adrien got into an argument
