Chapter 5: Un-True Love

Cat Noir POV

The new villain wasn't much of anything I haven't come across. Although the catchphrase could use a bit of work.

"There is no secret hidden from Plumeria. I shall know the truth."

I couldn't really come across who her true identity is, but she seem a bit familiar. Luckily, I spared some time fighting against her by the park, I noticed a particular red yo-yo swims across my direction and tied Plumera onto the floor. As I knew, it was Ladybug.

"Hey Chat. Who's the new villain?"

I didn't respond and turned away.

"Look I understand you're mad, but we need to focus on the threat in front of us."

I looked at her angrily. "Doesn't that look like what I'm doing?"

Just about she was going to respond, Plumera
released herself from Ladybug's yo-yo, and used her purple thread rope to chase us down the park. Ladybug and I jumped onto a house rooftop to run away while she chased from behind us.

"The akuma must be in her purple thread rope wrapped around her wrist."

"The problem is that we need to take it right before we get tied into it."

"What happens if we do get tied into it?"

"Your deepest secret will be revealed."

Ladybug POV

I felt chills scrolling down my back once he said that. At this rate, not only will my identity be exposed, well, actually Cat Noir already knows who I am, but he could find out about what me and Luka did, and that would make things even worse than it already is.

"In that case, we need to take it before it happens."

He nodded in agreement.

As we continued running, we fell towards a dark alley by mistake, trying to find a way out. Turns out Plumera was already there, walking closer to us where we were both standing against a wall.

"I got you now, Ladybug and Cat Noir."

She threw her thread rope towards me, but I fought against it by using my yo-yo to tangle it. Somehow it untangles by itself and tied me very tightly by the second. I felt my strength in my body becoming weaker and tired, but I kept my mouth shut in hopes that my secret won't be revealed.

"You can't fight against my thread. No matter how hard you try, you will be forced to tell the truth." Plumera said

I looked at Cat Noir. He rolled his eyes in return. This was it. The moment where Adrien's trust for me was going to be shattered.

"I kissed Luka, Cat."

Tears started flowing down my eyes. This time when I looked back at who supposedly was Cat Noir, I couldn't see a thing. It was nothing but darkness. All I could feel was the thread getting tighter, my body falling to the ground, my eyes closing, and Plumera laughing maniacally.

Suddenly, I went to sleep.

It felt like an hour went by.

Two hours.

A whole day, maybe?

"CATACLYSM!"  I heard.

Half awake, the rope was destroyed. As that happened, a purple butterfly was flying. I captured the akuma, and since I didn't use my lucky charm, I threw my yo-yo in the air and exclaimed "Miraculous Ladybug." Then everything turned back to normal.

"I loved you, Ladybug, but it seems like you love Luka even more. We're done."

Tired as I was, I heard that sentence loud and clear. As much as I felt a load of sadness, I felt somewhat happy, because I suddenly realized our relationship was irrelevant from the start. Physically, I was still stranded in the alley. Although, I didn't sense Cat Noir anywhere. When I looked in the alley, he was gone. I felt defenseless and weak, so I laid there on the ground, and shut my eyes.

It's like as if I couldn't remember anything.
