Marinette POV

When I heard the door open, I pushed Luka on the floor and stayed there lying on the bed. Luckily, Alya was the one who entered the room.

"Girl what were you doing? With Luka."

I stood up and I felt my face become full on red. "Um, we were just talking, nothing more."

Alya places her hands around her waist. "Uh huh are you sure about that?"

"Uh..."

"Anyway, are you feeling better? This blueberry kept coming in here constantly to check on you when you were sleeping."

Luka stood up, and for some strange reason, it looked like he was blushing. "I was not."

I giggled. "Yeah I'm fine. I was telling him that Adrien and I broke up during the battle."

Alya was shocked. "You serious?"

I nodded.

"So I'm assuming you and Luka are a thing now, right Marinette?"

"Not exactly. I love him a lot, really I do. But I don't want to rush things right now."

"Yeah I get it." Luka replies.

"By the way, sorry for pressuring you to avoid Luka while you and Adrien were dating. It was wrong of me."

"It's okay. It was mainly Adrien who felt that way so I don't blame you."

Luka looked confused. "Hold on, you did what?"

Alya and I laughed. This time it felt real. Luka was the one for me all this time and I didn't even realize it until now. Man I feel sorry for myself.

"Marinette."

Wondering who called my name, I stood up only to see Tikki worried that I was still sleeping. "Are you okay?"

I placed both of my hands under her. "Yes I am fine."

Both Luka and Alya giggled in response.

"Come on you three. We should take Marinette home. Her parents must be worried." Alya said.

"Okay then."

So I got off the bed and Tikki hid in my purse once I grabbed it. Luka tried to be chivalrous by holding the door for me, but it was already open, but I smiled. Once we were out of the house, Alya, Luka, and I walked towards the exterior of the bakery.

"Thanks for walking me home." I said.

Alya grinned. "Sure. I should be on my way to get the twins. I'll leave you to Luka."

I waved goodbye as she walked away. Now I was face to face with my blue haired prince, wait, what did I say? The first few minutes were silently staring deeply at each other's eyes, but then he said something.

"It was nice seeing you, Mari."

"Yeah, even if I was asleep most of the time."

Luka POV

I chucked. She is beyond beautiful when she jokes around like that. But I still love her anyways.

"So, I'll see you tomorrow at school then?"

"Sure."

"Okay, bye Marinette." I said while walking away. Suddenly, I felt her hand touch my wrist stopping me from walking.

"Luka, wait." she said.

I turned around back towards her.

"Um, thanks for saving me back there. I really do appreciate it."

"It was my pleasure really. I'll be here for you if you need anything else, like, when we'll start dating."

"Actually, about that."

"What is it?"

"I'm scared. That if we do start dating, then Adrien will find out. What makes things worse is that since we know our true identities as superheroes, we won't be able to defeat villains like we usually do."

"Then, we don't have to date if you don't want that too happen."

"That's the problem. I do want us to date. It's just, I'm already heartbroken as it is."

I sighed. Then, I hugged her in a secure type of way. I looked at her again and started crying, with just the tears falling of course.

"I wish I had something to say, really, I wish I did, but by what you're going through makes me heartbroken, too."

"You're crying?" She said while wiping my tears.

"Yeah, I guess I am."

"Well, don't cry. I know we'll work it out, okay?"

I kissed her forehead. "Okay."

"Anyway, I should head inside. It's almost dark and I don't want you to keep your sister waiting."

"Right. See you tomorrow."

"Love you, Luka."

"Love you too, Marinette." I said and walked away.

Marinette POV

As I went inside the bakery and upstairs into my room, I placed my purse on my desk where Tikki came out and went to slept on my daybed. Then, I heard a notification sound from my phone meaning I got a message. It was from, no doubt about it, Adrien.

Adrien: I'm sorry about leaving you in the dust earlier. I just got really carried away with what happened. Is it okay if we become a thing again? I promise I'll be a better person.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. It was obviously an apology about this afternoon. For one, I do forgive him, but I'm not getting myself involved in this situation ever again. So I decided to leave him on open instead, until I can find the time to reply, or maybe I'll never reply.

When I climbed up the stairs to lay down on my bed , it somehow had me thinking of the time I went to Alya house for a full on interrogation. Man, it was creepy, but when Adrien and I made up, Luka was down in the dumps big time. I regret that I should've caught on to his feelings sooner, and never should've used him as a substitute for Adrien. But now, that all has changed. I'm finally happy because I'm loving a guy that truly loves me for me, and I made my own choice about who I love.

My phone made a notification sound again, only this time the message was from Luka.

Luka: you doing okay, love😘

I blushed at the message and instantly replied.

Me: yes I am.

Luka: okay just checking on ya💗 Goodnight Mari.

Me: Goodnight 💤🌙

After that, I decided I should get some sleep. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow and I can't wait to see Alya and most definitely, Luka.
