Liam's POV
I can't believe what my dad had just said. Addison's parents would never be ashamed of her. Her parents aren't like my parents. Her parents don't judge you based on your life choices. They try to understand why you want to do something instead of criticizing you.
"My parents are not ashamed of me" Addison said coldly.
"That's what you think sweetheart" my dad replied indifferently.
"Dad, I need you to be quiet before I kick you out of my house" I said angrily.
I saw the look of sadness in my father's eyes but they quickly turned back to the look of hatred.
"Your house? You mean the house that your cousin paid for? Let me remind you that he gave you the money to pay for this "house". You didn't even pay him back yet, did you?" my dad snapped.
"You don't know anything. You haven't been there for the last 4 years of my life" I snapped back.
"You wanna know why I wasn't there? It's because you were a drunken mess. Everyday you would drink until you could barely walk. Your mother and I had to pay for your bail whenever you got into a fight at the bar. I had to drive to wherever you were to pick you up before you hurt yourself"
I stayed quiet. I couldn't even look him in the eyes anymore. He was right. My parents were always there for me until they couldn't handle it anymore.
"Look at me when I speak to you" my dad yelled.
I didn't dare look up at him. I just kept looking down at my shoes.
"You know what? I think it's best if we leave" my mom chimed in as she got up from the couch.
"Yes. I can't stand being near this idiot any longer" my dad grumbled.
They both walked out the door and slammed it shut.
I stood still. I felt like time had stop. I couldn't believe that they left again.
"Baby?" Addy asked, facing me.
"Yeah?" I replied in a whisper.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine" I mumbled.
But I wasn't and Addy knew that too.
"Are you sure?"
"I said I'm fine" I yelled angrily.
I looked at Addison dead in the eyes. She looked frightened at my sudden outburst.
"I'm sorry, Liam. I just wanted to be sure. Don't yell at me" Addy calmly stated as she walked into the kitchen.
"Addy, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm just frustrated"
"You shouldn't be. Your father was a complete jerk to you"
"You don't understand. This was my last chance in making things right with my parents. Everything had to go perfect tonight"
"It will be fine baby. We can invite them again another time" Addy said with a smile.
She was right. I can deal with them again another time.
"You're right Addy. They are too much to handle. I will deal with them another time"
Addison walked back into the living room and came up to me. She wrapped her arms around my neck as she pulled me in for a passionate kiss.
I kissed her back as I wrapped my arms around her waist.
I wanted to deepen the kiss but she suddenly pulled away.
I looked at her with a confused look.
"I'm proud of you" Addy said with a smile.
"What?" I asked confused.
"I'm proud that you were able to face your parents again"
"I couldn't have done it without you. You defended me when I couldn't do it myself"
She kissed me again but this time, it was more passionate.
Addison's POV (The next day)
Today was another boring day of school. I had to deal with the feeling of loneliness everyday. Liam and I barely have any classes together. I mostly had classes with Matt. I guess I just miss him. He was like the brother that I never had. Well, not really. I do have a brother but I don't like to talk about him that much.
"Ms. Winters, are you listening?" my history teacher, Mr. Owens, asked.
"Yeah" I replied, as I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Okay then. Answer me this: What year did the Battle of Midway take place?"
"Umm.... 1942?" I responded.
"Correct" he said with a huge grin on his face.
I let out a sigh of relief.
Thank god that Matt helped me study. I wouldn't have known the answer if it wasn't for Matthew. He was such a nerd. He was always studying. It didn't matter if we had an exam or not. He just liked to study.
The door creaked open and Julie walked in.
"Ah Ms. Edwards, it's great that you finally decided to join us. Only 15 mins late" Mr. Owens sarcastically said as he looked down at his watch.
"I just had to see my favorite teacher" Julie said with a smirk.
Mr. Owens turned a bright shade of red. Julie always had her way of making guys blush.
"Just sit down, Ms. Edwards"
"Okay then"
Julie walked down the rows of desks to reach the empty seat next to me. She had the attention of all the male students in our class. It was mostly because she was swaying her hips as she walked. I giggled a bit as I noticed that Mr. Owens was also staring at Julie as she walked.
"What's so funny?" Julie whispered to me.
"Everyone is staring at you. Even Mr. Owens"
"Old man knows what he wants. Except I'm not giving it to him"
"He wants to have sex with you?"
"Yeah. I just don't feel like doing it with him"
"Is it because of Matthew?" I asked.
Matthew was so in love with Julie. He would do anything to please her like with the pranks that she pulled. He would help her complete her pranks no matter what. He could never say no to her. He told me it was because they were such good friends but I knew the actual reason. They both liked each other but Matthew never told Julie how he felt.
"Kind of. I miss him" Julie said as she played with her fingers.
"I miss him too"
"I was gonna tell him how I felt the day that I came back from my suspension"
"You were?"
"Yeah. That's why I wanted him to help me with the prank so I could be alone with him"
I hugged Julie. She hugged me back.
"He loved you Julie. If he was still here, he would have told you how he felt"
"It's in the past now. We need to move on"
"Okay"
I turned back to Mr. Owen's lesson.
Julie's POV (After Class)
Class is finally over. I can finally go smoke my cigarette.
"Want me to save you a seat in the cafeteria?" Addison asked as she gave me a smile.
"Sorry Addy. I gotta do something but I see you later. I might come by Liam's place"
"Okay. Sounds like a plan"
Addison then walked out of the classroom.
I liked the conversation that Addison and I had during class. It felt good letting out how I felt about Matthew. I fell in love with that kid. I just didn't have enough time to tell him how I actually felt.
"Ms. Edwards, I need to speak with you" Mr. Owens said.
Great. What does this idiot want?
I walked over to his desk as the rest of the students had already left.
"You can't keep coming late to my class. I will send you to the principal's office if you keep this up. Not to mention that you almost threw me under the bus in front of the whole class"
"What can I say? I'm such a bad girl. I need to be punished" I said seductively.
No, I don't like this creep or anything. I just have to make him think it so I can get a free pass when I come late to his class or when I don't pass a test.
"You have been a bad girl. I'm going to teach you a lesson"
He leaned close to me and brought his lips to mine. He kissed me as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Then, he bended me over onto his desk and slapped my ass. I let out a fake moan as I rolled my eyes. He got me back up and kissed me again. I had enough of this. I stopped kissing him.
"I gotta go. Later Mr. Owens" I said as I started walking toward the door.
"Take care Ms. Edwards. Until next time"
I exited the classroom and walked into the girl's bathroom. I went up to the mirror and stared at myself in the reflection. I felt disgusted. I was ashamed in myself. The only boy that I wanted to be with was dead and I just kissed my history teacher.
"Just calm down, Julie" I said to myself.
I exited the bathroom and walked toward the cafeteria. I needed to be around people who would understand me and wouldn't judge me. And I knew exactly who I was looking for.
