'Clank'
'BOOM'
Elise rolled over, disturbed by the noise. An even bigger boom then shook the house, followed by loud footsteps leading to her room. Her door banged open, hitting the wall and waking the small Joltik sleeping on her table, who then disappeared into the Pokéball.
"ELISE!"
The girl jolted awake from her three-hour sleep, "WAH? FIRE?"
The door-slamming culprit sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "The only fire is the one in my workshop. Did you switch the wire for the device?"
Elise yawned, rubbing her eyes. "The wire that makes your stuff go boom-boom?" she asked.
Her brother looked at her, "What? I told you to stop calling them that!"
"And I told you to stop putting explosive wires in your creations, look where that got us," she answered bluntly, grabbing the Joltik's ball, which soon shrunk back into her palms.
"I-- Don't change the topic! Did you. Switch. The. Wires?"
She looked him in the eyes, "I don't know bro." and promptly face-planted into her pillow.
There were loud 'thump's before her blanket was yanked from her, "UP! You have to take Pan out, Elise," he said, talking about their residential husky and fur machine.
"But I took him out the other dayyyy," Elise whined.
"You're going to take him out again," Lucas huffed. "Your yogurt will become a nogurt if you don't get up."
That was enough to erase the sleepiness from her body, "WAIT, NO."
Her brother was already half-way out the door when he answered, "WAIT, YES.

The noises of the Pokémon filled household barely covered the footsteps coming from the second floor as Elise got ready for the day ahead. As she stepped into the kitchen, she was tackled by a blur of black-and-white that nearly took her down.
Elise crouched down and started cooing at the dog, "Hey pup, how are you???"
The dog whined happily in reply and started to lick her face. Lucas was looking at the pair with a soft smile on his face. "Come on Elise, food," he said nudging a bowl of oatmeal towards her.
Said girl signed and gave one last scratch to the enthusiastic husky before sitting down. "Alright," she said. Elise perked up when she noticed what was next to the bowl, "Heyyy, you didn't commit yogurtcide."
"Of course, what kind of big brother would I be if I did?"
"Y'know... a regular brother?" she supplied.
Lucas scoffed, pushing an eager Pan away from the kitchen island."Just eat your food before I eat it."
That was the end of the conversation for a little while as the two siblings finished their breakfast, Elise busy taking scarfing down her breakfast in order to get ready. As Elise was scarfing down the oatmeal, a Fletchling landed on her shoulder, chirping happily. Suddenly, Elise jolted up, scaring the small red bird Pokémon away. Excitedly she blurted to her brother, "Did I tell you how I might get into U.A.?"
The older Wing nearly dropped a dish of small berries that he was retrieving from the fridge. Turning to his sister, he put the dish onto the counter and looked at her incredulously, "You might WHAT?"
"Yeah..." she said slowly, staring back at her brother's golden eyes.
"How?"
"Well... last night I was out to find a Chimecho... and then I ran into a hero who happened to also be a teacher for U.A." Elise shivered, remembering how the hero looked ready to murder someone.
