Elise jumped when she came face to face (or face to chest really), with a large flaming man as she rounded the corner. He was reclined against the walls, with his arms crossed over his chest. The girl jumped and took a step back. This was Endeavor, the number two hero in Musutafu.

"H-Hi. Is there something you need?" Elise asked him. Something about him made her uncomfortable to be near him.

He tsk'ed and straightened up, blocking Elise from going down the hallway. "You with your weird quirk," he said, leaning closer to her. Elise sweated and backed away slightly. "You're a freak. An oddity. You no doubt will face up against my son. Give up. I've made him into what he is, I refuse to have my creation be beaten by a nobody like you."

Elise frowned. His creation??? Who was this man to think of a person like that??

He talks of Todoroki as a dispensable item.

It all clicked into place in an awful second. That aura she felt from Todoroki, this man's tone of voice. He was so much like her mother, maybe even worse. Anger rose up in her gut and the words left her mouth before she could stop them.

"Wh-Who are you to talk of a person like that?" She asked, rage simmering in her voice. "Who are you to treat your son like nothing more than an object."

The hero tensed and growled, "How dare you talk to me like this? I can treat him however I want. He is my ultimate weapon, he will become the number one hero. I've pushed him past his limits and beyond for him to become the perfect unit. A senseless brat like YOU will never compare to him. I was trying to give you a less painful alternative, but I guess you'll just have to learn your place. Prepare to face off against him and die."

Elise stared at the floor as he left, her hair falling down and obscuring her face. Conflicting feelings rose up inside her. Sympathy, sadness, anger. Most of all, the doubts left by his words worming through her temporary wall of anger and bringing it crashing down.

You and I are very much the same. I'm sorry that you have suffered so much, Todoroki.

She sighed and straightened up.

I can see you're fighting. I'm gonna fight too, I'm gonna show him what this senseless brat can do.

Elise opened the door to the sitting area of her class. Thankfully there weren't too many eyes on her right now, and she was grateful for the fact. She made her way to the seats, where she settled next to Bakugou and Shoji. The latter congratulated her. "How did you manage to avoid getting stunned by Kaminari's electricity?" The tall male asked her.

"W-Well," Elise laughed, "I remembered ground-type Pokémons have a natural resistance to electric-type Pokémons. Cubone is a ground-type and has a high defense too, so I decided to go on a gamble and try facing off against Kaminari like that."

"That's smart..." Shoji mused.

"I hope it's smart enough for me to advance later on. Anyways," she made sure that the males' attention was on her before beaming at them. "Th-Thank you so much for cheering me out there... I didn't expect that and—" Her voice petered out at the end.

Bakugou grunted and leaned on an arm. "I would have beaten you up if you didn't win. We didn't train all that time for you to lose in the first fucking round."

"In our fifth match are two Class A students! On one end, it's Yuga Aoyama, coming in with a flair! On the other is Mezo Shoji, the silent sentinel!"
