Lucas gave me a sad smile and gestured for me to go on.

"Don't be silly, Mr. Lucas. How is Ross supposed to remember such a thing? He didn't even know we had met before until you told him."
Laura brushed him off.

"I say you shouldn't be too quick to judge. Ross may look like he's not much, but have you ever thought why the demons hate him so much? He's on a completely different level from the likes of us, Miss Laura. If you thought you were his counterpart, you couldn't be more wrong. Despite his gentle nature-"

Laura cut him off.

I blurted out, holding my head in my hands. This sort of pain... I felt it once before. Make it stop. Please make it stop.

Asked Laura, with sadness in her voice.

"Take it easy, Miss Laura. If he knows all the answers as I predicted, that's because he's remembering all of them now."
Lucas said.

I felt my knees going weak. Was it always so difficult to breathe? I felt as if my lungs were on fire. Water? No, it's not water that I crave. I- I... I? Who exactly am I? Before I knew it, I was on the ground and everything went black.

"Ross! Ross! Hang in there!"
