5. Rebound

Gelo POV

The next day I was at home chilling by myself. Jaden hasn't talked to me and Kaila won't answer my calls. I FaceTime Zo on the phone to talk about it.

Zo- so Jaden and Kaila both said fuck you?

Gelo- basically bro. Jaden been tripping over Kaila since she got here and Kaila got mad because I asked her about it.

Zo- so Jaden know about you and Kaila?

Gelo- fuck no. Bro if she did it a be worse.

Zo- I don't know bro. I know you with Jaden but I mean you and Kaila was something special.

Gelo- you not helping bitch.

Zo- I'm just saying bro. You gotta figure it out.

Gelo- alright bro.

I hang up the phone and text Jaden.

Gelo
J can we talk? We can grab some food?

Jaden
Yeah we can

After Jaden agrees to getting food with me I go get dressed.

Kaila POV

Shakira, Treasure, and myself were at the mall walking around. We stopped to get some frozen yogurt and so I could tell them more about Gelo.

Treasure- so he was blaming you?

Kaila- yeah something like that. He was just aggressive as hell. So I put him out.

Shakira- damn sis, all this over Jaden, what did you say to her. (Laughs)

Treasure- do she know about you and Gelo?

Kaila- I honestly did not say nothing to her for her to act the way she did and I don't believe she knows. I didn't say anything.

Shakira- that's weird shit.

Treasure- right, has Gelo talked to you?

Kaila- he texted me that night but I'm not tryna talk to him right now.

Treasure- well y'all gone have to straighten it out eventually, but for right now can you hoes come help me find something to wear. My man said he taking me out.

Kaila- it will shocks me that you and Dre together.

We all get up from our seats and throw our froyo away.

On the way home I dropped Treasure off at home. Shakira and I walk through the front door. "Girls can you come here please?" My dad says to us. When we walk in the family room he was sitting there with a woman. I'm assuming this was his girlfriend I had no idea about. He asks us to take a seat and we do.  "Girls this is Grace, Kira you remember Grace?" He asks. Shakira answers back with "yeah".

"So girls Grace and I have been dating for going on a year now. Things are pretty serious between us. Serious enough that I asked grace to marry me." He says. My face drops and Shakira let's out a confused "huh".

"Don't worry we're not rushing to get married but for right now we are engaged." He says explaining. Shakira gets up and walks upstairs and slams her bedroom door.
