❄︎ Gray Fullbuster, POV

I noticed it's been a few days since Lucy presented me with her problem. It made me wonder if she ever solved her problem. But, what I really want is to see what's in that book Lucy bought Levy the day I went to the book club with her. It's the reason why I even suggested it to her. Thus, I made the decision to go "Checkup" on Lucy. I chuckle before I knock on her door.

"Gray?" Lucy said puzzled. 

"Hey." I said. 

"Well, come in." She invites me in by opening the door some more. I walkthrough. 

"So I just came over to check up on you." I explain.

"Oh, that's nice of you but . . . I think I'm doing fine." She goes over and sits on her sofa. I went ahead to sit across from her. 

"How is Natsu?" I asked. Lucy takes the front of her hair and puts it behind her right ear and begins to talk. For some reason, I didn't notice how cute . . . Lucy is. The sun hit her brown eyes really nicely. 

"Natsu and I haven't spoken yet actually. I'm scared to talk to him." She said. 

"Well did you ever take my advice?" I ask hoping she brings up the book. 

"Oh, yea actually. There are a few things in it I would like to go over though." Yes, an opening. 

"That's fine." I said but then I eagerly say,  "Why don't we discuss it over at the new bar that was just built? let's make it a date." I said. Wait. Not date-date. I didn't mean to say that. Man, I always say the wrong things when I get too eager. 

"Wait like a date-date?" She asks. 

"No not like romanticly. More like going out." I say. As friends. 

"Okay, it's a date." She said smiling while making air quotes with her fingers. I guess she can call it what she want's. I don't get how she doesn't notice that I'm kind of into Juvia more. Juvia sometimes makes my heart beat a lot harder than usual. But I need to know what's in that book so maybe I can be more readable for Juvia. It's hard to express my feelings sometimes. 

A few minutes later I began to leave. Lucy was going to show me out but her phone starts to ring. So I ended up letting myself out.

☼ Natsu Dragneel, POV

I decided to go bother Gray since Lucy and I aren't really on good terms. I was in his house touching random things because I've been feeling off for the last couple of days. Like part of my feelings are missing. 

"Stop touching things." Gray said as he came into the living room. 

"Lets  . . ." I shrug. "Hang out more . . . or later or now. Or Oh I know go on a mission with me." I said being purposely awkward. 

"Can't." He said. 

"Why?" I ask. 

"Because I have a date." He shares with me. I stare at him. 

"Your lying who is it?" I asked expecting him to say who.

"You don't need to know . . . ok because It's for my own benefit." He replies as if that was going to satisfy the answer I wanted to my question.
