The Overprotective ⍣ [Nalu/Gruvia]

☼ Natsu Dragneel, POV

She doesn't know but I have been to her house when she wasn't present. I could feel in my very being that something was wrong that she liked someone else. I looked at Lucy as she walks little ways in front of me. We were both heading to the guild just coming from yet another job again. I start to notice that I feel sane yet I feel like going crazy when I am with or without her. Sometimes it's like animal instincts kick in and I just want to hog her from everyone. Why must it be so frustrating?

"Um, Natsu. Are you okay?" Lucy asks.

"Yea. I think so. Just thinking I guess." I say but, then I continue.

"It's just you have been MIA lately that's all and I know you don't want to talk to me." Lucy stops. I noticed we were just a few blocks from the guild.

"Natsu it's not that I don't want to talk to you it's just sometimes you talk about things I don't want to talk about." She starts walking again. I just think we aren't on the same page these days. And I know I'm doing such a terrible job trying to share my feelings. We enter the guild.

✮. Lucy Heartfillia, POV

As soon as we enter the guild everyone was wild as ever. I ended up splitting with Natsu and ended by Mira at the bar. I decided I needed a drink. As I drink I start chatting while watching everyone do crazy things. Soon after I was done catching up with Levy I saw Juvia and Gray chatting at the Conner table. I watched them as Juvia giggled while Gray said something in her ear. I felt the jealously I felt two days ago. Juvia gave him what looked like a magazine. I've never seen Gray's eyes light up but they did. It almost looks like he wanted to hug her but had just enough strength not to. I couldn't stop staring at them until Juvia got up from the table. I snapped out of it. I realized she was going to the bathroom. So I formulated a plan before she got out.

"Juvia!" I said as she came out of the bathroom. I pretend to run into her. I start giggling. "I was just talking to Gray and he said he thinks he is willing to try those Gray-sama buns now. This made Juvia extremely happy.

"Ah! Juvia's dream is coming true!" She exclaims as she runs to the back of the guild and disappears. I quickly try to make my way over to Gray but I realized he was fighting with Natsu. It took a few seconds but I got Gray's attention.

"Gray if you want to escape now is your chance. Juvia went to go get her Gray-sama buns." Gray immediately let's go of Natsu.

"I'm out." He says as he makes a break for it towards the door but comes back to me. "Oh meet me at your house before night." I nod.

☼ Natsu Dragneel, POV

Well Isn't that something. I thought as I watch her and Gray chat in front of my face. Since when did they get kinda close? And a meet? For what? What does he need to show or tell her? Suddenly Lucy call's my name.

"Natsu." She said.

"Yes?" I said trying to mask my voice so she doesn't know I'm angry.

"Um . . . you're burning the chair Natsu." I look and begin to panic. Suddenly a wave of water came upon me. I look only to see Juvia a few feet away from me smiling like she's guilty. I sigh looking at the now burned chair and my damped clothes. I look around again checking if Lucy was still here. She wasn't. Does she think she's going to see Gray?

Not on my watch.

✮. Lucy Heartfillia, POV

It was almost sunset. I just finished getting dressed when I hear a knock on my door. I go to my door. Who could that possibly be? I know for sure it can't be Natsu. He never takes the door. I open it and it just so happened to be Laxus.

"Hey, Lucy! Let's get this party started!" He said as he walked in with a few other guildmates. My jaw dropped to the floor.

"Um . . . what? I said shutting my door.

"Girl. A party!" He repeated as he continuously put the food he brought on my counter.

"Whoa whoa- wait!" I said but, I could not get another word out cause I hear some more knocking. I open the door.

"Hey!" Levy and Juvia said at the same time. They walk in with a hand full of party items.

"This party is going to be so fun, right?" Levy asked as I shut the door. I had the most confused face as I just watched them set up. Then I hear another knock. Oh gosh. I thought as I open the door It was more people from the guild. Then a few minutes after that more. Then even after that, Even More. Eventually, my place was full of people and music.

"What is happening why is there a party ant my house?!" I so happen to say to Erza.

"Oh, this is a surprise party! All planned by a little someone but that's a secret." She said.

"Erza catch!" Some said from across the room.

"Don't wreck my house!" I yelled. But of course, these are my guildmates they never listen. Eventually, I lost track of time. It became night and I knew I had lost my chance to meet up with Gray.

Now I'll never know what he wanted me for. What if he was going to tell me I'm the girl he didn't want to mess things up with?

☼ Natsu Dragneel, POV

I stared at Lucy's apartment window from outside her window across the street. Her house was lit up with party lights. I was smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. I continued to walk past Lucy's house and back to mine. I shut my door.

"Did you get it?" Gray asked. I raised the grocery bag while I snickered.

"Oh, yea we are about to get fat." He said grabbing the bag from me. I walked to the kitchen with him.

"Hey what were you meeting up with Lucy for?" I asked.

"Oh shoot I forgot about her." Gray then Ice-makes a medium-sized ice cube. "I was going to show Lucy." He said as I squint to see what's in the cube.

" A magazine?" I say looking at him. He grins.

"Not just any magazine its a magic magazine Juvia found for me. It has all the ice-make secrets in here its first addition!" He said excitedly. It was silent for a moment.

"Dude that's lame." I said. Then suddenly as I said it we began to fight.

"Shut up!" He yelled as he pulled my hair. I start to laugh as I punch him in the face with my flaming hot fist.

"You went for the hair Gray? That's such a chick move!" I said.
