Luna and Bella sat on the beach for what felt like hours to them. They spoke about the good and the bad of the events that were happening around them. Luna spoke about her argument with Jacob and Bella told about her decision on living with her dad rather than her mom. Though the girls barely remembered each other from childhood memories, they felt almost as though they had been friends their entire lives.
"I'm sorry about your parents, Bella." Luna sympathized for her "I'm sure it's hard to be back here instead of with her."
Bella shrugged and stabbed at the sand beneath them with her foot "I think it's good for me to be here with Charlie. I mean, I haven't seen him in such a long time and I think I should be closer with him."
"I understand that." The black-haired girl replied.
Bella kept her mouth in a thin line for a moment before looking at Luna once again. She looked as though she wanted to say something but couldn't find the words to say it. Luna furrowed her brows and asked her what the matter was.
"What do you think about the Cullens?" Bella questioned her.
Luna thought for a moment before replying "I think they're good people. They were nice to me when I first started hanging out with them and they all accepted me into their group really fast. Why?"
"I've just been thinking a lot about them." Bella explained.
"What about them?" Luna asked, "If you don't mind me asking."
Bella chuckled and shook her head "You'll think I'm totally insane."
"Try me." Luna tested.
Bella bit the inside of her cheek before letting out a sigh "I think the Cullens might not be like the rest of us." Luna studied the girl with curious eyes as she continued "I think- I think they might be vampires, Luna."
Luna kept quiet as Bella finished her claim. She didn't exactly know what to say to the girl. It's not that she didn't believe her but rather that she almost didn't want to. Bella immediately had a look of embarrassment on her face before she desperately said:
"You can laugh if you want..."
Luna followed up "Why do you think that?"
"Haven't you noticed how pale they are? No person is naturally that pale." Bella explained herself "And isn't it a story in your tribe that the ancestors of the Cullen's aren't human? Jacob was telling me about it the day we were all here at La Push"
Luna nodded with a shrug "I mean, yeah, but that doesn't mean I ever believed it. I always thought some aspects of it were true but not the part with the Cullens not being human."
The Swan girl ran a hand through her hair "You think I'm a total psycho, don't you?"
"No." Luna admitted, "I think that anything is possible with enough proof."
