Esme greeted Luna as soon as she stepped out of the car. She wrapped her cold arms around the girl and smiled softly, ushering Luna to where she and Bella were standing only seconds before. Luna looked around her surroundings and questioned what they were doing in such a large field.
"It's so nice of you to join us." The brunette haired woman told her "You and Bella can be our umpires. Call them as you see them, girls."
Seconds later, Alice called out to the rest of her family "It's time."
"Time for what?" Bella asked Esme.
"Time to start the game." She explained.
Luna watched as Rosalie readied herself at the plate. Alice stood still for a few seconds before smiling, readying her arm to throw the ball. As soon as the ball left the pixie girl's hands, a loud crack of lightning echoed through the valley. The beautiful blonde hit the ball with a force loud enough to mistake it for lightning. Luna suddenly realized why they were playing in a storm like this. Rosalie took off around the bases while Edward rushed into the trees after the flying ball.
"Is that a home run?" Luna asked.
Esme tilted her head and hummed hesitantly "Edward's very fast."
On Luna's side, Jasper bent down and picked the bat up off the ground. He swung it around in his arms for a few seconds while the siblings continued. The dark haired girl turned and grinned at his tricks when he began showing off.
"How about a good luck kiss, damsel?" He nudged her cheekily with a wink.
A small laugh escaped Luna's mouth before she stood on her toes and gave him a small peck on the lips "I bet you'll get out."
"Is that so?" She nodded and he challenged "I bet you a date you're wrong. Loser pays."
At the same moment, Bella announced "You're out." to Rosalie who angrily gave in.
"Jasper you're up next!" Esme called to her adopted son.
He raised a brow to Luna who nodded before challenging "You're on."
Jasper smirked as he took a step off to the base. Alice raised a leg while she threw the ball at her brother and moments later the sound of the collision erupted again. The tanned girl watched as Emmett climbed up a nearby tree and caught the ball from across the field, throwing it back to Esme seconds before Jasper returned to the plate. Luna smiled triumphantly while Jasper stared at his brother angrily, letting out a curse.
"You lose." She sang to him while he pushed her lightly, getting back into line.
"I do not." He differed.
Luna raised a brow and laughed "Sore loser?"
"I am not!"
"He totally is." Rosalie said from in front of them "You should have seen him when we used to do family game night."
