He walked with her downstairs and told her "You're going to need this." before grabbing one of Alice's coats, helping her put it on.
"Where are we going, Jasper?" Luna asked him curiously.
"If I told you it would ruin the surprise, damsel." He told her.
The two of them walked out the door while she looked back at him with a small smile "You know, taking a girl into the forest and saying there's a surprise is a pretty good start to a horror movie."
He closed the door behind her and she waited for him at the bottom of the steps in front of his house. After, they began to walk into the green area around the home Cullen residence. Almost immediately, Luna felt the cold breeze that blew near them and she shuddered, hugging the coat tighter against her body.
"I can promise there aren't any murderers where we're going." Jasper said "Most likely."
"Most likely? " She echoed sarcastically before looking up at the sky "Isn't the sun going to go down soon?
"It will in about an hour."
Luna nodded in understanding and asked, "So... Does where you're taking me have a special meaning to you? Or is it just one of those places you stumbled upon and want to hang out at?"
"A bit of both. I like to go there when I want to get away from everyone else." He told her "Or when I do my art."
The pair walked for another five minutes until a large clearing came up ahead, the trees forming what looked to be a perfect circle around it. There was a field filled with flowers that were dozens of different colors and a small river that ran through it. Luna smiled and turned to Jasper who could feel the cheerfulness that radiated from her body. Seconds later she began to walk into the clearing, taking in the beautiful view that surrounded her. It wasn't until nearly a minute that she noticed that he wasn't following right behind her. Luna turned around and tilted her head at the boy who still rested in the shade of one of the many pine trees.
"Aren't you coming?" She asked him.
Jasper nodded but remained in the darkness, an unsettled look on his face. Luna frowned at his expression and walked back towards him, watching as he scanned her. Once she was in reach of him, she grabbed both of his hands and gradually began to back into the field however once he was almost in it he pulled back, his hands retreating from her own.
"What is it?" She asked with a confused look.
He replied, his tone making her frown "Going into the light might change the way you think of me."
