ALEX'S POV
" Noah, get up." I shake his shoulder, trying to wake him up. His eyes slowly flutter open, and then they immediately close.
" What time is it?" He asks, his voice rough and tired. I check my phone.
" 1:06. We're going to the beach house at two, so you need to get the hell up." I say, and he nods, annoyed. I go to get up but he grabs my hand.
" Happy birthday." He grins sleepily, and I thank him before heading downstairs.
" Finally." I hear Daniels loud voice say, and I come into the living room to see him sitting on the couch with Carson and Indigo. Carson turns to me.
" Did you get all the shit you need?" He asks, and I nod.
" Yeah. But we have to leave a few minutes early so we can go get Tessa." I say, and he gives me a thumbs up before turning back around. I saunter into the kitchen, grabbing the loaf of bread and putting four pieces in the toaster. I open the fridge, grabbing butter and blackberry jam. After the toast pops up, I start to spread the jam onto it.
" Whatcha making?" Noah asks, ruffling my hair.
" Toast." I say, swatting his hand away. He laughs, pulling out his phone. Once I finish, I sit beside him, sliding his plate over. He thanks me, and I grin.
" Reyna is so dramatic." Noah mutters turning his phone so I can see Reyna's messages.
" Your always gone!" He mimics, causing me to laugh.
After we finish our breakfast, we walk into the living room.
" Where's Sam?" I ask Carson, and he looks up from his phone.
" He had to go somewhere with Willow, but he's coming later." He responds. I nod, sitting by Noah on the couch.
" We are leaving in ten, Alex. You guys need to put your stuff in the car." He tells me, and I stand back up with Noah.
" Let's do this,"
~
"Are we almost there?" I ask Carson, and he turns the radio down.
" Alex, if you ask that one more time I'm gonna-"
" Turn the car around and go the hell home." Noah and I both mimic him, and he groans before turning the music back up. I laugh, looking to my right. Noah is sat in the middle seat, while Tessa and I are on the sides. I forced Indigo to come, because she's actually pretty fun, but she's in Daniels car. I look over at Tessa, who is watching something on her phone, earphones in.
"We're here!" Carson announces, pulling into the driveway of our families beach house. It's about two hours away from where we live. " You three stay here for a few." He says, and I slightly nod. Once he walks away from the car, Tessa takes her earphones out.
" Ok, what's going on with you two?" She asks, and I raise a brow.
" Oh, come on. I'm not stupid. Earlier, you literally told him he looked hot." She states, and Noah coughs.
" Can we just not talk about it?" He mutters, and I nod understandingly. He gives me an appreciative grin, and I look out the window. Carson is leaning against a tree, a cigarette in hand.
" Your hot brother smokes?" Tessa notices, and I shrug.
" Only sometimes." She nods, and I look back at Noah. He's got one hand near his face, biting his nails.
" Noah, stop." I mutter, pulling his hand away. He gives me a sheepish grin, shrugging. I roll my eyes before looking back out the window. Indigo is taking the cigarette from my brother, looking angry. Carson looks unbothered, giving her a blank expression. I roll my window down slightly.
