It's finally the end of the day and I get home. I instantly run up to my room and start to get ready. Everett is coming and I have to look decent, but I shouldn't try too hard. Well, maybe a little. I jump into the shower to freshen up. I decided to just tie up my hair and do a full body scrub down. I smell like school, ugh, yuck.

I dry off my body and head to my closet. I pick out a pair of denim high rise jeans, and a white crop. I pair everything with white vans because I like to match my shirt and shoes, leave me alone. Bringing down my hair, I just run a straightener through it and decide to go a little heavier on the makeup. I add blush to my cheeks and highlighter. I conceal my under eyes because I do have slight dark circles, then I add a touch of brow powder and mascara. With that, I'm finished with my look.

I spray a bit of perfume and re-brush my teeth. Walking over to my full length mirror, I look at myself and I am satisfied with how I look. I jump at the sound of my doorbell ringing. "Shit, Kate knows just to walk in."

I run down the stairs and almost fall. Luckily I didn't. Ha, beat that karma. I open my front door and see Everett.

"Heyyyy you're way early," I say kinda shocked to see him.

"Yeah, I know. I have nothing else to do so I figure we could get started on our project," He flashes his charming smile.

"Oh uh, yeah sure come in," I opened the door a little more to let him in, "My room is upstairs. Come on," I lead him up to my room and open the door, "Kate and Kyle should be here soon," I mention.

"Yeah Kyle said they will be here in a couple minutes."

"Then let's put off the project for now," I laugh, plopping onto my bed. He is just standing awkwardly in my room, "You can sit wherever you want."

He points over to my giant bean bag. I nod smiling. He plops down into it and makes a face. "What?" I laugh.

"I wasn't expecting it to flow up," he presses the sides down.

"Haha yeah I love reading while sitting on it because of that. It's so easy to cuddle up and be comfortable."

"I mean you're tiny so it's easy for you to say," he shakes his head smiling.

"Yeah and you're a giant," I laugh.

"Hey bitchhhhh," Kate barges into my room, "Oh, am I interrupting something?"

"Nah, we were just talking," I get off my bed to hug my best friend.

"Sup fuckers," Kyle walks in.

"Hey Kyle," I say waving while sitting back on my bed.

"So alcohol is on the counter down stairs, do what you please with it," he says as he does that "bro shake" with Everett.

"Okay, so how many people did you exactly invite Kate?" I had to ask.

"We only invited Kyle and Everetts friends, I just said it was a kick back. I figure we set up a drink station and a movie night with snacks in the backyard. I brought my projector so we could just all chill."

I nodded my head knowing that I'm going to be lonely all night, I don't really hang out with their crowd. Come on, keep an open mind, "Well lets go set everything up."

As I'm setting up the drink station by myself I am alone with my thoughts. The worst place to be. My mind wanders to college, I know I need to apply and knowing my parents they want me to go Ivy League. I just don't want that for myself. I want a fun college experience and not a stressful one. I'm thinking about just applying to USC or some UC school. I will still get a good education but it won't be as stressful. I've been pretty good at school but I honestly don't think I will be able to handle an Ivy League.

My thoughts get cut off by guys yelling to Kyle "AYYEEEEE". About seven or eight guys and 3 girls walk into the backyard.

"YOOOO WHAT'S UP GUYS" Kyle greets his friends. Wait, where's Everett? I look around my backyard and he's nowhere to be found. I walk into the house and find him rummaging through my fridge.

"Looking for something?" I laugh. He jumps at the sound of my voice and I laugh a little more.

"Uh, yeah I'm hungry," He laughs as he closes the fridge door, "Should we order pizza?" he suggests, "You literally have no food."

"Yes I do, just probably nothing you eat," I laugh, "and yes you can order pizza but order enough for everyone."

"Nooooo Car, I'm only going to order for myself," he says sarcastically while pulling out his phone. Did he just give me a nickname? I probably have a weird face right now because he asks, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You called me Car. It was weird," I say hopping onto my counter. I'm guessing the pizza place picked up because he started talking on the phone.

"Yes- can I order 10 pizzas- 5 meat lovers and 5 pepperoni- no soda- yes I'm sure- Okay thank you- yup- bye," he speaks into his speaker.

"10 pizzas?" I ask, shocked.

"Yeah, we eat a lot. And why didn't you invite anyone you hang out with?" he asks me.

"I would, but they don't like Kate," I say swinging my feet.

"Then why hang out with them if they don't like your best friend?" he asks leaning against the counter across from mine.

"Well when I was going through a tough time they were there for me and Kate was in Paris with her grandparents so they helped me through it," I say and he makes a face, "And just because they are seen as geeks or whatever, doesn't mean they are weird or anything. They are literally just like you and I but people we go to school with worry so much about how they look that they're embarrassed to hang out with them."

"I get you," he says, "What do you mean people like you and I? Aren't we just like them, we all go to the same learning academy," he says.

"That's exactly what I'm saying, but no because they don't have "good looks" they aren't liked which is utter bullshit," I roll my eyes.

"Well invite them," Everett presses.

"Like I said they won't come. They don't like Kate," I sigh.

"Why don't they like her?" he shakes his head.

"I guess she was a bitch to them in our sophomore year but I don't understand why they would let a girl a year younger than them push them around. I would've put her in her place," I run my fingers through my hair. Honestly talking to Everett makes me feel like we have been friends for a while. Who knew I would be able to hold a conversation with him until now.

"Well, whatever happened I personally think they should just give her another chance. Not everyone stays the same person as they used to be," he says before checking his phone, "I have to pick up the pizzas, they don't deliver past a certain time," he says, "Wanna come with me?"

"Uh yeah, just let me tell Kate to make sure no one is an idiot while we are gone," I laugh and hop off the counter.

I walk out to the back yard and see Kate directing Everett and Kyle's friends where to put certain things.

"Hey, I'm going to go with Everett to pick up pizzas. We'll be back," I say. She waves me off with a simple okay and that she has things under control.

Walking back into my house I see Everett on his phone, "Alright, she says she has everything under control, so let's just hope she does,'' I giggle.

"Okay, let's go get the pizzaaaaa," he sings. We walk out of the house and start on our way to grab the pizzas.

He turns on the stereo and the loud music blares through the speakers as we pull out of my driveway. The drive to the pizza place was short and very easy with us singing along to all the songs that played.
