Chapter 6 - Polar Opposites

Izuku's POV:

The prince left and Kaminari led him past the bookshelves to the very back of the room. At first, he feared he was an alpha and was going to hurt him. That was until a light, fruity scent filled his nostrils. Another omega. He smiled softly to himself. The scent was filled with joy and excitement. I wonder why, he thought.

"Ya know," he started, "We don't get new visitors very often, and the only other worker is super boring." The greenette nodded and tried his best to keep up with him.

Another hunched figure came into view. Seeming completely out of it. His senses started to kick in and he found himself matching Kaminari,s speed, wanting to make sure the other was okay.

"See? Super boring," The other seemed to be unfazed by the purple haired boy's condition, even as it groaned lifted its head up. Dark bags underneath his eyes made him look older than he probably was, and his lavender locks were unruly and unkept.

The man cleared his throat, "I can hear you by the way. I'm tired, not deaf," he sat up and walked over to the two omegan boys. " Who might you be?" The man cocked an eyebrow.

Izuku held out his hand and stated his name once again. The man took his greeting offer and said his name was Shinso Hitoshi, as well that he was a mated beta to make sure Izuku didn't feel scared or worry of any kind. He could already tell he was going to like his stay in the library.

It had been a couple hours since he had been dropped off at the library, but he didn't want it to end. They had started talking and they all found each other interesting or slightly entertaining at the very least. Kaminari asked a million and one questions about what living in the forest was like, and about living under the Todoroki's rule. Shinso acted like he wasn't intrigued, but it was obvious he was listening in. Even asking questions every now and then.

Then it was his turn to ask questions. Mainly about the opposite; what it was like to live and work in the castle and under the Bakugo's rule. Again, Kaminari did most of the talking but Shinso added a comment every once in a while. To the boy's surprise, it wasn't as harsh as he had originally thought. Things kept proving him wrong every second of his stay in that castle.

"So," Shinso spoke up, "Why were you with the prince?" The greenette froze in place. He tried to think back to when the prince had explained to him why he had taken him, but he came up empty handed.

"Well, he never actually told me. Only that I would be safe and healthy," An almost sad look filled his gaze. So much had gone wrong in the last few days and not even knowing why he was getting special treatment only added to his pile of questions and problems. "Do you have any ideas?"

The other two thought in silence, gazes to the ceiling. Shockingly someone else in the room was the first to speak up. "Maybe he's trying to court you?" They all spun their attention to the spikey haired intruder. Wait...Izuku recognized that "intruder".

"Babe!" The blond raced forward and jumped into red-head's arms. "I missed you! Where have you been?!" The couple nuzzled one another, taking in the other's scent and embrace.
