Regina's POV

I hit my alarm quickly before it can go off and wake me. I'm always up a minute before. My body is just used to it. I play some music from my phone. It's all classical music even though I'm a lyrical dancer. I like the music. I quickly get into the shower and then once I'm out. I straighten my hair. My hair meets the middle of my back. I never ever want to cut it. I brush my teeth and then go into my closet. A put on a blue off the shoulder dress that stops about mid thigh. I lotion my arms and legs quickly and then put on some no show socks and white sneakers. I grab my dance bag and put some clothes into it. A black nike sport bra. Black and grey nike pros. Deodorant. Perfume and two waters. I grab the small cold lunch box that keep food cold and I go downstairs. I grab a few small containers. I put in grapes. Apples. Cheese and some pretzels. I put it into the lunch box and then go back upstairs putting it into the dance bag. I grab my phone and house key before leaving to school. I walk because I'm pretty close.

It's our first week back from Thanksgiving break. I get my new schedule from the front office and head to first period Algebra after dropping my dance back into my locker. I'm 16 taking senior classes. I turn 17 in February. I hate my birthday because it's on Valentine's day. So yeah. I find a seat in the second row and pull out my note book and pen.

"Regina." I turn to see Robin and I inwardly sigh. When will he finally get it that I don't want to be with him? Students fill the classroom and Robin is just standing at my desk.

"Hello." I say politely.

"How was your break?" He asks.

"Uh... it was nice. How was yours?" I ask.

"Great maybe we can... go out sometime." I look at him confused.

"Robin if you're done flirting I have a class to teach." Ms Baker our math teacher says and I flush with embarrassment. Gosh now the whole class is looking at us. Robin nods and takes his seat away from me. Thank gosh. I do not want to be by him. Maybe we can be friends or something but I do not want to date him. I am fine being single for as long as I can be. Trust me I do not want boy drama. I'm only 16 what I do even know about a relationship? All they want is sex and I believe in waiting until marriage and maybe that's silly and unrealistic but I can try. It doesn't hurt to try. Mom always tells me that.

"We are going to start off with taking notes from the slide show I'm about to show you guys. If you're not done and I move onto another one just tell me. I'm sending them to all your emails so you can finish because tomorrow more notes. So if I don't have your email or you want to check if I have the right one. I'm free during fourth or quickly after class." I open my notebook and start writing. I highlight some points and look up before copying the note and equations again. I push my hair behind my ear as it falls into my face and we do that all class.

I head to lunch after fifth period and I get a chicken salad. I get some ranch for my salad and an apple. I pay and wave at the lunch lady. I don't know why but all the staff here loves me. Probably because my mother is the mayor but yeah. I head outside to a bench under this beautiful tree. I sit and put my airpods in listening to some music. I eat my salad. A few kids coming outside and smoking their juul's or whatever it is they are doing now. I sigh and continue eating. I'm not judging people for vaping but I just... I don't want to. I have no desire to start. It's your body and who knows if vaping actually hurts people. I'm sure anything could do just as much damage. Just you do you.

The day is over now and I head to the dance studio which is a small walk. I say hi to Shana who works here at the front desk. I change into my dance clothes and then I go into the studio. I connect my phone to the speaker and play some music. I have 'You Say' by Lauren Daigle on repeat. I warm up and stretch my body. Always gotta stretch first. I listen to the lyrics and what they mean. I start dancing. A few turns and soon I'm sweating and I pull my hair up into a bun. It's a little messy but it's okay. I fix my form and spin again three times and I don't fall out the spin and the song ends and I hear clapping I turn to see a blonde girl who must be my age. Very bright green eyes. She's wearing blue jeans with black boots a black tank top and a red flannel over it.
