Betty was the first to wake up in the morning, then came Kate. They were in the kitchen and Betty went back upstairs to get dressed.
Alice was just waking up when she heard Kate scream and the front door open. She woke up Fp and they ran down the stairs, when they got there they saw Betty already there and Gladys with a gun to Kate's head.
This was it for Alice "what. The. Fuck. Gladys, why are you trying to hurt a little girl" Gladys laughed "because it's the only way to hurt you. You have my life, Mrs. Jones and I'm Mrs. Lodge. Your idiot friend couldn't even keep track of her husband"
Betty was crying, she had gotten very close to the little girl, she didn't want to see her die. Gladys smirked "not so tough now, huh Cooper?"
Betty wiped her eyes "I'm not scared of you, you dumb bitch" Gladys took the gun off of Kate and grabbed Betty "so whatcha gonna do know, Smith" Fp was just smiling the whole time.
Alice gave Fp a confused look. He whispered in her ear "Jughead snuck out, he is on his way with the serpents" Alice smiled.
Betty's POV: My mom just went from being terrified for my life to smiling, she mouthed the words 'Jughead is on his way with the serpents' five seconds later Jughead kicked downs the door "let her go Gladys"
Gladys rolled her eyes "and what are you going to do" the rest of the serpents walked into the house. Gladys reluctantly let go of me.
I ran into my mothers arms and gave her the biggest hug I could. "It's ok sweetie" she hugged me back and played with my ponytail "I got you."
Fp grabbed Gladys by the arm. I think it's time for you to leave. Gladys laughed "oh please" "Get out Gladys!" Everyone looked around.
That voice came from a little girl. Jughead moved to the side to reveal Jellybean. Who was furious at her mother. "Jelly, I didn't know you were here. I thought you were in Toledo." "Gladys are you high on fumes! I left a long time ago."
"Since when do you call me Gladys anyways" Jellybean walked to Alice and grabbed her hand "since Alice became my REAL mother"
Gladyses face turned bright red "You bitch" She cane closer to Jellybean and slapped her. Alice quickly retaliated by punching her in the nose.
Gladys fell to the ground. The serpents picked her up and hauled her out of the house. Everyone let out the breath they were subconsciously holding.
"Glad that's over" Fp thought out loud. Everyone agreed, "Finally we can have some type of peace in this house" Kate said "yeah, for now" Jughead replied. The whole family knows by know Peace never lasts long for them.
The kids all cleaned up after and went back up to their respective rooms. The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly.
The kids were talking to school counselors and Alice and Fp were talking to each other about finding a new place to stay. Considering the house was pretty small for 4 kids and 2 adults.
Alice also really wanted a backyard and pool. They also started talking about how they are going to deal with Gladys, Hiram, and Penny. At once.
All of that has yet to come, but the Smith/Jones family survived another day.
