The first few weeks back at Hogwarts were same old same old. Only a few things had changed.

Me and Daniel Bishop, the snotty Ravenclaw from Charms, were having an unspoken competition on who was the smartest. Some days, I would win, others, he would, but it wasn't that big of a deal compared to the fact that George was being extra annoying. Last lesson, he and Fred had bewitched my quill. The lesson before that, George had dropped ink all over my work.

It was agitating, but I couldn't help but notice that the three of us were getting closer. I had both Charms and Transfiguration 3 times a week - so 6 lessons meant a lot of time together. Plus, I also had conversations with them in general. It was unnerving, but I did like the friendship.

Lindsey was upset because of Buckbeak. Apparently, Draco Malfoy - a third year Slytherin - had almost 'died' after being hit by the Hippogriff, resulting in a broken arm. Both Lindsey and Hagrid were frightened that Buckbeak would be taken away, as Malfoy had snitched to his father.

Ivy was being an utter prat, especially in DADA. Anytime me and my friends did anything, she would just have to open her big fat gob and make an unnecessary remark. Her goons were just as annoying. Millie 'accidentally' dropped ink all over Lindsey, and Tracey had started an argument with Amanda for no reason.

On the upside of DADA, Professor Lupin was being very nice towards our group. He never failed to give us points, and he even tried to talk to us outside of lesson, which I saw as a nice gesture. Usually, it was about Quidditch or homework, but when it was just me, he would ask things about Grandma and Mother, or how I grew up and if my home life was a happy one. It was very odd, and made me slightly suspicious.

We sometimes bumped into the twins in the Room of Requirement after lessons, but it wasn't a big deal. In fact, none of us even went that often. Oh, and we also found out that our first Hogsmeade trip was next week, which was quite the relief.

As I said earlier, the first few weeks were just a repeat of events. But not today. Today was the first Quidditch match of the season! And even better, Gryffindor was playing! It was our house versus Hufflepuff. Originally, Slytherin was supposed to play, but due to their 'injured' Seeker (Malfoy), they persuaded Professor Hooch that they couldn't play.

We all woke up bright and early on this particular Saturday - Harley had left half an hour before us for another meeting before the match, whilst the rest of us got changed into our normal attire, with our additional Gryffindor scarves and hats. Evelyn had even spent the whole of Friday afternoon creating a 'Fly High Harley' banner so that she could wave it about in the stands.

"Guys, i'm gonna head off." I said, stepping out of the room. "See you after the match."

As a Co-Commentator, I had to meet with Lee Jordan so we could go to the box where McGonagall was waiting.

"Hey Lee." I said, hopping out of the Portrait Hole where he was waiting. "Excited for the match?"

"Buzzing!" Was Lee's response. "Gryffindor will easily win!"

"Let's hope so." I said as we made our way to the box.

After listening to Lee explaining how Slytherin dropping out was part of their tactics to win the cup for 5 minutes, we made it to the box, where Professor McGonagall handed us our magic megaphones. The game was about to begin!

"Good morning all!" Lee shouted excitedly. "Lead Commentator Lee Jordan here with Co-Commentator Jessica Montgomery, back at it again for the new season!"

"Today we are witnessing the first match of the '93-'94 Inter-House Quidditch Tournament! The teams playing are Gryffindor, captained by Keeper Oliver Wood, and Hufflepuff, captained by Seeker Cedric Diggory!" I announced, taking my role seriously unlike Lee.

"Originally, it was Gryffindor versus Slytherin, but after an apparent 'injury'," Lee began bitterly. "Slytherin begged to switch with Hufflepuff, grovelling on their weak knees-"

"JORDAN!" McGonagall snapped.

"Sorry Professor." Lee said unapologetically. "But we both know it's true-"

"And here come the teams now!" I interrupted, trying to save Lee from the wrath of McGonagall. "On Gryffindor we have Keeper and Captain Oliver Wood, Chasers Angelina Johnson, Katie Bell and Harley Withers, Beaters Fred and George Weasley, and star Seeker, The Boy Who Lived, Mr Harry Potter!"

"And on Hufflepuff we have Seeker and Captain Cedric Diggory, Chasers Jughead Jones, Archie Andrews and Betty Cooper, Beaters Cheryl Blossom and Veronica Lodge, and Keeper Kevin Keller!"

Madam Hooch looked at both teams before blowing her whistle loudly - and at the same time, thunder clapped loudly.

"Hopefully the weather won't cause any trouble in the game, as it seems as a storm is heading our way!" I said loudly over the cheers.

The game was going good - Hufflepuff was being very fair, unlike Slytherin would have been if they were to play. The weather, however, was simply horrific. Even though the crowds cheered as loud as possible, the downpour of rain and ferocious winds completely drowned any noises. Lee and I practically had to yell just to get any commentary in.

By the first half, Gryffindor was in the lead by 150 points, and after asking for a time out to regather, the second half begun.

"And it seems both Potter and Diggory have seen the Snitch! Let's hope Gryffindor's Secret Weapon gets there first, so we can haul in a win-"

"JORDAN! Enough!" McGonagall yelled.

Suddenly, I noticed something. As Harry and Cedric dove for the Snitch, about 100 Dementors swarmed the skies. Harry noticed this too - in fact, I think the Dementors were attacking him!

"Stop the game!" I said in a panicked frenzy. "Look, the Demen- Harry!"

Everything happened within a second. A Dementor grabbed at Harry, who fell off of his broomstick. Fred and George dived to save him, but it was Dumbledore stepping in that protected Harry from death. Cedric hadn't noticed, and caught the Snitch, leaving Hufflepuff victorious.

But the scariest part was yet to come. As me, Lee and McGonagall watched the terrifying scene unfold before us, the Dementor that sped towards us went unnoticed. I blinked in confusion, before looking up and screaming loudly. McGonagall realised what was about to happen, firmly grabbed onto mine and Lee's shoulders, before Disapparating into the crowds.

And that's when I fainted.
