Mrs. Weasley begged for us to stay for lunch (specifically because she wanted to 'fatten us up') but we had to leave in case Mr. Withers came back - we forgot to leave a note and he would be worried. So we went back across the field, up the hill and into Harley's house. Just a minute after we had arrived, Mr. Withers had come back. He made us lunch and then we were excused to Harley's room.
"We're going back to school tomorrow." Lindsey said, pulling Gizmo onto her lap. "I'm kinda happy, kinda not."
"I'm ecstatic." I said, twiddling the moon necklace from McGonagall with my fingers. "We're having a quiz in Charms, and i've been practicing ever so much to beat that Daniel."
"Only you would be excited for that." Amanda said. "The only reason I want to go back is to have our Patronus lessons."
My head snapped upwards.
"Shoot!" I said. "I completely forgot about those!"
"No biggie." Harley said aimlessly. "We'll never learn it anyways."
"But I was so close!" I wailed. "If only I had practiced."
"We can practice now?" Lindsey suggested.
"It's too late." Evelyn said, looking outside Harley's window. It was getting dark already. "Plus, nobody is supposed to know about the lessons. If Harley's Dad caught us, both us and Lupin would be screwed."
"At least we have DADA on Monday." Amanda said. "That lesson is always a blast, despite Ivy being there."
"Don't even speak of that bitch." Harley said. "Hopefully we don't see her."
"Yeah." Lindsey said. "It's Sunday tomorrow, so she'll be in her Common Room anyway. Can't say the same for Monday."
As my friends continued to speak bad about Ivy, I suddenly became lost in my own thoughts. The secret... was I really that close? If I was...
Then I would make it my mission to find out what it was.

We woke up early the next day and grabbed our trunks to head downstairs. After a quick second to stop and have toast, we headed towards Kings Cross Station.
"Be good, girls." Mr. Withers said, as the train neared. "No more detentions, okay?"
We nodded as Harley rolled her eyes. Soon after, we boarded the train. And then long after, we were back at Hogwarts.
As we unpacked our trunks and went down to the Common Room, Lindsey suddenly jumped up.
"Buckbeak!" She said. "I have to go see him!"
"Oh, not this again." Amanda rolled her eyes. "We only just got back."
"And that's a day closer to the trial." Lindsey retorted. "I'm going."
"What about lunch?" Evelyn said. "You haven't eaten much today."
"No time for lunch." Evelyn said, climbing out of the portrait hole, before pausing. "You guys coming?"
My friends seemed reluctant before I smiled.
"I'll come." I said. "I've never met Buckbeak before."
Lindsey grinned as I followed her out of the portrait hole and we made our way down to Hagrid's Hut.
We knocked on the door and waited for the half-giant to open it for us. After a loud crash and a bark from Fluffy, Hagrid made it to the door.
"Lindsey! Jessica! What eh surprise!" Hagrid said loudly. "Come inside."
We stepped in obediently as Hagrid ushered us over to his couch. Buckbeak was tied to a pillar in the corner and Lindsey jumped up to stroke him.
