Months later, Toki was okay and Hope was taller. Me and Toki decided to go for a Spring walk with Chester and Hope. Hope was now more Toki's pet and Chester was mine. We were both in hound form. Suddenly Toki's ears perked up. "I smell... cooked meat and fire," she murmured.
"Well... we better follow our noses if the reward is food!" I howled. We ran, following the scent. It lead to a campfire with... Ugh! Humans! Wait... humans? I haven't seen humans in a while. We were at a good enough distance. There was a pig village near the humans. We heard a deep voice, alerting the humans and coming from one of the pigs. "I KILL NOW!" It snorted. It started chasing me. We ran as fast as we could away from the aggressive pig!
"That was close..." Toki whined.
"Yeah... at least we didn't get killed..." I murmured. We thought the coast was clear until a teenage red-head girl started going after us with a spear! I dodged the hit of the spear and Toki growled. We backed away. "What? Are you scared of me?" the girl laughed, coming closer to us. I turned into a human as quick as I could! The girl looked shocked, but she still aimed her spear at me. Soon, another girl came, but she was older. About 24. She had black hair and pigtails. She held a lighter up to me, almost setting my hair on fire!
"Who are you?" she said in a threatening sort of way. "Tell me or I will set you on fire!" I was speechless. "I MEAN IT!" I could hear Toki growling from behind me. "I am a survivor," I murmured. The red-head girl was saying something. "No! She is not just a survivor! She was a hound! I saw it!"
"Go back to the base and make yourself a garland. How high exactly is your sanity right now?" The other girl commanded. "Ugh! Fine!" the red-head girl snapped. She walked away.
"Now... who are you?"
