Chapter 9

Kash

I was woken up by some water splashing on my face , causing me to jerk awake but I scrunched my face up in pain .

" Oh , you're awake can't say the same for your step daughter " he said and that's when I looked down and Jhené was passed out and she was chained to me .

" What the fuck you did to her "  I said trying to reach him but the chains and the pain was too much .

" Nothing too much just a little GHB , she'll be out for about 3-6 hours " he said and chuckled .

" You a pussy , you know that " I said and he laughed and kicked me in my side causing pain to shoot through my body and I winced as a little blood came out my mouth .

" You are in no position to talk " he said .

" How's your girl doing tell her daddy said hey , well that's at least what she called me " I said and smirked as I seen him get tense and his body language changed .

" Don't you speak on her " he said and I chuckled and tried to hide my pain .

" She's just a female , you did all this for a female " I said and he smirked .

" I am , and you can't act too cold because I know you feeling her " he said and I mentally sighed because he was right I had a soft spot for Jhené but I wouldn't let him know that .

" You think so " ? I asked and he nodded .

" Oh I know so , you haven't acted this way since .." he was about to say but I cut him off quickly .

" Don't you even fucking say her name " I said and he smiled .

" I didn't know Brittney had such a hold on you " he said and started laughing .

I met Brittney when I first got into the drug game I was just 19 , she helped a nigga learn the ropes since she was in the drug game herself . We built a strong bond before we could even think about a relationship, but when we finally did it was magic . I loved that girl death , it was so many times we put our life on the line for each other . We chilling one night , and she was downstairs and I was in the kitchen she had got her an apartment since she was 4 years older than me . I was cooking in kitchen and then I heard the window shatter and a body drop . When I hurried into the living room , her body was on the floor and she was in a pool of her own blood . I just dropped down to my knees and sobbed like a little baby , the girl I invested my time and my love into was gun . A shot to the head took the one girl that , cared and showed me what real love was .

" Oh you thinking now " he said and I just ignored him and looked at Jhené she really reminded me of her. How she made sure I was straight , when I hit her up late at night . She keep a nigga in line , she tell me exactly what I need to hear and not what I want too . She's just a good person to have on your side , and I wanna keep her there . She flinched beside me , and she started opening her eyes .

" I must didn't give her enough " he said and when opened her eyes she looked confused but it settled in where she was and she looked over at me .

" What's that smell " she said as she gagged and covered her mouth .

" You good " ? I asked and she just nodded and rubbed her head .

" Well since everyone is up , let's have a little fun " he said and I looked at Jhené and she looked at me before I let out a loud groan .

Crystal

I've been loosing my mind , because Kash hasn't came home , and I'm starting to worry . I received a call from my ex husband I wasn't about to answer but I finally did .

" Hey , Crystal how are you " he asked and I rolled my eyes .

" I'm fine , what do you need ?" I asked .

" Where's Jhené I've called and texted her but I didn't get a response " he said and I forgot to tell him I kicked her out .

" She doesn't stay here anymore " I said .

" What the fuck you mean she doesn't stay there anymore " he yelled .

" Just what I said , she got slick at the mouth so I kicked her out " I said .

" So you telling me you kicked our daughter out , because of something she said are you fucking crazy " he said and I shrugged .

" I had to show her who was the adult " I said and he scoffed .

" Obviously not you , listen if my babygirl don't contact me in the next couple hours me and my wife coming down there  , and if you still don't know where she is Imma let my wife kick yo ass " he said and I heard the dial tone .

I sighed and placed my head in my hands and just got lost in my thoughts . I wasn't always this way towards Jhené , she used to be my favorite person in the world . When I cheated on her dad I knew I was wrong , but at the time I was being selfish and spiteful . Before I moved I asked Jhené did she want to go with me and she flat out said no . That broke my heart , she never called me or anything but when she got older she started doing that but the damage was already done . I moved down here and met Kash I didn't even tell him I had a daughter until she was about to move down here .

I picked up my phone and decided to file a missing person report on Kash , Jhené was probably out being grown with somebody she barely knew she is my child after all .

I filed the report and went upstairs to try and get some sleep because I knew If Jhené's father was coming tomorrow I was going to have a long day .

" STOP IT WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU " I yelled as Curtis the dude that had us captive twisted a screw driver through Kash's bullet wound .

" Shut yo bitch " he said as he threw the screwdriver and called someone down here .

" Unchain this nigga and clean this shit up " He yelled and pulled a needle out and inserted some kind of liquid into his arm .

Devon came down stairs into basement and look around the room in disgust but his face changed when Curtis looked his way .

" Make sure he chained up good , and remember what I said" he said and they brushed shoulders and he closed the door to the basement .

" I knew it was something off about this nigga " Kash said .

" Kash calm down " I said as I grabbed my stomach as I felt a pain but I ignored it .

" Nah fuck that this nigga been plotting the whole time " he said and I sighed .

" He's going to help us Kash " I said and he mugged me and Devon .

" This nigga a snake you think he gone do that " Kash said .

" Y'all just not about to talk about me like I'm not here " he said .

" Nigga fuck you " Kash said and Devon exchanges looks and then Devon looked at me .

" Get yo boy straight , cause I'll just save you and leave his ass to rot " he said and I shook my head .

" Listen Kash , at this point what other choice do we have "? I said and he looked at me and I looked back at him with pleading eyes .

" Whatever man " he said and I sighed because I thought he wasn't going to agree .

" What's the plan " Devon asked and Kash started talking as I listened intensely on the plan that could get us out of here or end my life .
