Chapter 10

Crystal

I heard a beating on the door , and I looked at the clock and ,I took a deep breath and went to the door and opened it .

" Hey how are-" I was about to say but I was cut off .

" Where's my daughter Crystal "James said as him and his wife pushed past me .

" I told you over the phone that I didn't know " I said and James rolled his eyes and his wife scoffed .

" You must gotta problem " I said directing it towards his wife and she mugged me .

" Even though Jhené wasn't legally mine , I still helped take care of her and I love her and I'll gladly beat yo ass bout her" she said and crossed her arms .

" Girl I'm not worried about your young ass " I said and flipped my hair over my shoulder .

She started laughing , and she grabbed a hair tie and tied her hair up and looked at James .

" She got one more slick thing " she said and crossed her arms and I sighed .

" I'm just as worried as y'all are my boyfriend didn't come home either it's been at least a week " I said and she starting laughing again .

" Yeah I'm bout to beat yo ass " she said and charged towards me .

She tackled me on the floor , and started punching me in the face I tried to block them but I couldn't . I felt blood rush from my nose , and I felt my eye started to hurt . She was pulled off me , and I tried my hardest to catch my breath .

" You're daughter could be chained up somewhere fighting for her life , and you mean to tell me you worried about a nigga . You sick af you really need help that shit is not normal . Now we're going to find her , when we do don't come fucking looking for her " She yelled and they left with her slamming the door in the process . I just leaned against the couch and I felt a tear escape my eye , I don't know if it was because I knew I was wrong or because I just got my ass whooped .

" You always talking shut the fuck up " Jhené yelled at me .

" Man shawty gone on with all that , you talking too much shit " I said back and She just rolled her eyes we stopped when we heard the doors open.

" Y'all been fussing all night " Curtis said coming in and I looked over at Jhené .

" He's pissing me off listen whatever you're going to do to him , do it I don't want no parts " she said and I put a hurt look on my face .

" I'll even assist you , if you want me to do the dirty work I will " She said and I mugged her and Curtis laughed . 

" You really done it this time , you driving everybody away " he said as he reached down and unchained Jhené . She was weak due to her not being fed like she supposed to .

" Get the gun and aim it at his head " he said and she nodded and aimed it at my head but before she could pull the trigger Devon busted in the room .

" It's some niggas shooting yo shit up downstairs " he said and Curtis looked like he had panic in his eyes .

" Stay right here , if you move everybody loosing they life " he said and snatched the gun out of Jhené's hand .

He rushed out of the room and Jhené rushed over to me and unchained me because dumbass left the keys on the table . I knew this plan was going to work I'm just glad it's playing out like we planned . I stood up and looked around and we made our way upstairs and I smiled when I seen my niggas he handling business . Curtis has niggas all around his house and they were dropping like flies . We made our way outside and I looked back and Devon was trying to get Jhené to speed up but by the look on her face she looked as if she was about to pass out . I walked to where they were , and I picked her up right before her eyes closed and her body went limp . Devon threw me his keys and I grabbed them but before he could take a step his body dropped and I seen blood rushing out his head .

" Fuck " I said and I hit the button the keys and I seen his car headlights light up . I wanted to go back and grab Devon but I couldn't , I couldn't risk my life . I rushed to the car and I placed Jhené on the passenger side and I rushed to the other side and I hurried and started the car and I pulled off rushing to the hospital. The whole time driving to the hospital my mind was just stuck on Jhené and her well being I didn't give a damn about me right now . I pulled up to the hospital and I felt my body getting weaker , before I could get Jhené out I collapsed on the concrete with my eyes closing immediately. 

Wugga .

I felt pain all over my body , and I couldn't even move my body without feeling pain . My eyes slowly fluttered open as I looked slowly around and checked my surroundings. I was in a hospital and I was hooked up to all kinds of wires and I seen that I was getting fluids . I couldn't really remember what happened before I blacked out I just remember my eyes closing . I was about to press a button but a doctor came in and he smiled when he seen me .

" I'm glad you're awake Jhené "  He said as he looked at the chart and checked my fluids .

" You were hugely dehydrated and your body was very weak and your baby almost lost it's heartbeat " he said and when I heard the last part my heart dropped and I felt myself blackout again .

" The patient that was with him , is with child and we may have to keep her here a couple days to get her body back on track " Is what I heard when I finally woke up with my body in excruciating pain .

" Hey he's awake " I heard a nurse say and i looked at her as a doctor walked in with a chart .

" Your up , well like Jhené that you brought in you both were very dehydrated and you both need fluids and some rest . We're going to run some more test on you because it seems that you have some wounds and possibly a broken rib and a fractured leg " he said and I nodded .

" Her and the baby are fine " he said and my eyes got big did he say baby ?

" I'm sorry did you say baby " I said and he nodded and stop .

" You didn't know " ? He asked and I just shook my head no .

" Well by the looks of it she's about 6 weeks " he said and I thought back to the day we had sex and I didn't even know what to say .

" But I'm going to let you rest , if you have any questions just push that button " he said and left the room and I just got lost in my thoughts . Jhené's pregnant what am I going to do ? What is Crystal going to think ? I just closed my eyes and let my thoughts consume me because right now I was lost .
