"I think Zayn's been avoiding me" muttered Liam softly as the pair walked in the dark corridors in the night.

Louis slapped his forehead, if he could only punch the lad beside him, could Liam honestly be more oblivious!

"Why'd you say that mate?" asked Louis sarcastically.

"I dunno. I just see him really rarely these few weeks. Everytime we passed each other at the hall, I'll say 'hey', he'll say 'he's busy' and that's that. He doesn't even come to dinner anymore, he rather ate with that blonde Hufflepuff Neil or something in the library."

Liam fumed, he could feel something churning in the pit of his stomach, "What'd you think mate?"

Louis paused and looked at the long corridor before him, he always liked his strolls with Liam. Louis wouldn't say it, but Liam is probably the most gossipest person he'd ever met, even more so than he was. He knew everything about everyone and he probably knew a few secrets about the professors.

"I think all you lot are mad! Zayn's just being his mysterious studious self. If he'd get off my back, I'd be cool. I wouldn't want another minute of him lecturing us about the importance of scoring for OWLs. I've already heard enough from my parents" explained Louis harshly.

The pair stopped again dead in their tracks as they passed the large statue of Godric Gryffindor. Louis placed a hand over the wizard's foot and gave a rub on the edge of the shoe.

"Have you noticed, Harry's been a little bit snappy at Zayn lately?" asked Liam.

The question really took Louis' attention, the lad turned to Liam with inquisitive eyes, "Now that you've mentioned it. They do squabble a lot more than usual now. Why'd you think that is?"

Liam formed a smirk, the Gryffindor rubbed his chin teasingly, "Before that, tell me about you and that Eleanor girl."

"Liam..."

"Since all of you are too brilliant for your own proud self, I have nothing else to teach for this term since we've covered all the material far earlier than expected" said Professor Carrow in her regular dull monotonous voice.
