Shitty titties, fuck me I guess. I did my crusty ass speech and now corona virus completely drowned my fucking social life and online school hit me like a fucking train. Every day feels exactly the same and I lose track of which day it is and what time it is so I'm just lost now. My teachers are kind but the workload seems overwhelming and I can't focus at home because I'm not used to working in this environment.. and I'm so fucking sorry for keeping you all waiting for 3 months, I was thinking about this story literally almost every day. I hope everything is going well for all of you and if you need an ear I'll be happy to talk to anyone in dms.
On a side note.. I wanted to formally and sincerely say goodbye to someone. On Tuesday (April 7th 2020), a student in my school went missing sometime around 11:40 pm I believe. We're in a small town with a population of around 7,600 people, and it's rare for kids to go missing around here for the most part. I know who this boy was, and I wanted to keep him in my prayers and hope if he was kidnapped, he would be found and return home soon.
Alas, after finding out he was missing Wednesday night, I was told (and then read in our local news) on Thursday evening that he was found dead outside of town and the search was called off. I'm not sure yet if this was suicide or homocide.. but I wanted to put this out there for anyone that cared. His name was Res and he was an alright kid, I talked to him for a good bit of time during finals and saw him around the halls, although he wasn't a close friend of mine..l and I would appreciate everyone just having his family in your thoughts or prayers because this is an extremely tough time for them. I know none of you knew him, but regardless, he was only 15 and had his whole life ahead of him to live.Thank you if you read this to the end. ♥️ It means a lot to me if you did.

-----Russia silently kept his eye on the smaller country as they walked down the stilled sidewalks. The ambiance of crickets and light breeze in the background was calming to him, but America was still quite on edge, and really only felt safe now because of the other's presence. The Russian was lost in his thoughts for the most part, although he was prepared to help America again if he needed it. He knew the other country now was exhausted and drained from the entire experience, and had a little empathy for him. America's arms were folded and tightly pressed against his rib cage his shoulder occasionally brushing against Russia's coat as they continued in silence.
When Russia led them back onto their street, America looked up and saw his house ahead of them, with Russia's on the other side. He began to panic again and looked up at Russia fearfully.
"N-no, Russia- please don't take me there, I can't go in there now, I can't go home, please.." he pleaded, tearing up again. Russia looked down at him in the dark, his face barely illuminated by the few streetlights.
"I wasn't taking you there. I was going to my house." He assured the shorter country, crossing the road to confirm his statement. America visibly relaxed in relief and followed him. As they approached Russia's door, America kept his eyes trained on his own house, worried someone from inside would be watching him and come out. Nothing happened. Russia quietly opened the door and began taking his coat off, America watching him after coming in behind him. Holding the coat under his arm, Russia looked at Ukraine, who'd fallen asleep sideways on the couch while watching something on TV, which now was a commercial. He turned the TV off and fixed the blanket over his little sister.
He looked at America and gestured with his other hand for him to follow, and led him upstairs. Once in the room, Russia draped his coat over his chair and America sat down on one end of the bed.
"I'm checking Bel is asleep. I'll return in a second." Russia said, quietly exiting the room. America chewed his lip and watched him go before sliding himself into the corner and hugging his knees. He wished nothing had happened, and his family was still perfect, his father wouldn't be mad at him, everything would have been okay had he just kept his mouth shut and lied. Feeling tears well up in his eyes again, he dropped his head into his palms and wept.
Russia crept down the stairs silently as to not wake up Ukraine before slowly opening Belarus's door. She was in bed on her stomach, fast asleep already. Russia made his way to her bed and gently kissed her forehead before leaving and moving back to his own room. Upon entering, he was greeted with the sight of America shrunken up in the corner.
"Don't cry Америка.. Is okay." He reassured, sitting next to him. America wiped his face and crawled over almost immediately, pulling Russia into a hug. Surprised- Russia's head hung over his shoulder before he awkwardly hugged back. They stayed in this position until America calmed down a few minutes later. After pulling away, the shorter country smiled at him and finished wiping off his face.
"Thanks.. for putting up with me."
Russia shrugged. He wasn't bothered by the American anymore as he was with most countries, although he still wasn't used to this much physical contact. America looked at the larger countries face now that there was adequate lighting. He took note of the dark eye bags that still hadn't gone away, and the overall exhausted look in his eyes.
"You've still been staying up at night haven't you?" He sighed.
"I have no other choice." Russia said lazily. "I've told you this many times, Aмерика.. is not easy."
America sighed to himself and got up from the bed, walking over to the door and turning the lights off. Russia blinked at him in the dark as he made his way back over and sat down again. And then, Russia was pulled down to his chest. He blushed a little as he looked up at the Americans face, mentally slapping himself right after and feeling thankful it was too dark to be noticed.
"What are you doing?" He mumbled out.
"Well... I want you to sleep, so I'm trying to help you. And... I also don't want to be alone right now.. so it's a win for both of us."
Russia sighed and dropped his head back onto the other's chest, giving up of fighting back. He was too sleep deprived to really care anymore, and just quietly said. "Fine. Good night."
He felt the smaller country hug him tighter before he gave in to sleep and let his eyelids close. America smiled at the warmth the taller country gave off, and he felt comforted and safe. He noticed how quickly Russia had fallen asleep, and felt bad about how exhausted he must be and how difficult getting up everyday and having to work must be. He hesitated for a long moment before he very gently kissed the top of Russia's ushanka and whispered "goodnight Russkie.."
