3.) Stars and Dust

I wonder under a bejeweled midnight sky
Staring upon the stars through these tears
The dust of the Earth within me
The dust of the world surrounds me
The dust of survival upon me
And yet I'm alive to declare Your Name
You kindled the stars's song above me
You spoke the day and night to be
Created man by the dust in Your hand
And I feel the dust crying out within me
The rocks cry out in worship through the pain
And I've longed to do the same
But weary am I within this shell
An alien of another's Kingdom Come
Ashes to ash this world fades away
Dust to dust I wither as the flowers do the same
But I see the distant light of the ones that burn away
And yet we have all our eyes upon You
We shine to this dark world for the New
Just waiting in our dance for the Bridegroom
Knowing Your return draws ever near
You stand upon the Centerstage
The stars above and the dust am I
Desire the answer of Why
Seeking You within this night
Ready to finally belong.
