Chapter 29

Me and Jere headed to class and the day went smoothly, although it was peculiar that we hand't seen any of the Fazgang. It was like they just disappeared... Not that it was an issue, we could rest a bit easier. The day was going fine until we ran into Jeremy's brother. Shit. He caught a glimpse of me and a dark, evil glare formed on his face. He was storming over to me, and I was so afraid I couldn't move. Jeremy was in the bathroom so I was standing there by myself. "Well well well... Haven't seen you in a while. Not since well... your friend knocked me unconscious." He grabbed my wrist and dragged me into an empty storage room. He held a knife to my throat, "Nobody who resists gets away. I didn't warn you before but now it's too late." He slowly pushed the knife into my neck and started to pierce the skin. Tears were running down my face but I didn't move. I didn't want him to kill me, but I knew he was going to anyway. Then like a shadow, a figure towered behind Henry and put him in a choke hold. Once Henry was on the ground the shadow around the figure faded, it was Jeremy. "J-Jere? What was that?"

"It doesn't matter. Are y-you okay?"

"Yea, I'm fine..." Grabbed a rag that was on a shelf and cleaned the blood off my neck. "Thanks," he smiled and walked me out of the storage room. The day almost over but Jeremy didn't want to go to any of the club meetings today so we just went to the dorm. He had to go get something so i sat there by myself a little, but wasn't really alone because I was video chatting with the guys. They all freaked when they saw the gash on my neck but, I was fine. Jeremy came in with some pizza so we ate it. We've mostly been living off instant noodles and kraft dinner for the last week or two, so it was a nice change. Once we got off call with the others I just stared at the blank screen. "Y-you okay (y/n)? You l-look distracted,"

"What? Oh, yea I'm fine."

"You m-might be fine but I c-can still tell you've got s-something on your mind."

"*Sigh* Remember that day in the car when we were playing truth or dare?"

"Vaguely b-but yes...?"

"Do you remember what I promised the five of you that day?" He thought for a minute. "Y-yes....."

"I know it's still I while off but I'm scared to tell. I don't want to hurt everyone else if I don't pick them..."

"(Y/n), l-listen to me, n-no matter who you choose, i-if you're h-happy, the r-rest of us are. Sure it m-might be a little d-disappointing but, we don't control your h-heart." He smiled at me and opened his arms for a hug, I moved over beside him and hugged him back. When I tried to move away from him he pulled me close again, looking me in the eyes with his face bright red. It caught me off guard and he kissed me.... He was so gentle, yet passionate, I kissed back...... 'I'm a bad person...' I thought to myself, I've kissed most of the crew and nobody else knew I had, I pulled away. "Jere I'm sorry I just can't right now..."

"T-t-that's alright, w-what I got w-was quite nice for m-my first kiss." He couldn't stop smiling, so I smiled back at him. He was gonna go take a shower so I sat on my bed with my sketchbook and drew for a while. It gave me something to change my mindset a bit. When Jeremy came out of the shower, his shaggy brown hair drooped over his face, which would explain why he hit the doorframe. I helped him over to his dresser so he didn't hit anything else, we both just laughed. He held his hair off his face so he could find his pyjamas, which were fluffy green pants and a sailor moon t-shirt. He looked kind of sad so I asked him what was wrong, "I-it's noting (y/n), don't w-worry about it."

"Jerebear tell meeeee! I don't like it when you're sad!"

"W-well everyone forgot it was my b-birthday," Oh shit, it is his birthday! Nonononoooooooo! "Jere I'm so sorry! I don't know why it never crossed my mind! Happy Birthday!" He smiled a little bit now, "Thanks (y-n)." I hugged him tightly again and we sorta just cuddled for a bit, it was nice. I yawned, "G-getting tired a-are we?" I nodded, "Only a little bit." He got up off my bed and pulled the blanket over me. "Goodnight (y/n)."

"Night night Jerebear."

Le mega timeskip to however long you need to be in university because i'm too lazy to write that much!
