Chapter 17

The view was beautiful! We were high up in the mountain tops and you could see small flurries because of the cooler temperatures. If you looked around, you could see all the way across the green, lush forests. "What do you think?" Alex talking pulled me out of my thoughts. He was standing, looking kinda nervous and was starting to take my silence the wrong way. I finally said,"It's beautiful up here, I wish I had brought my camera!" He looked at me confused, "Your into photography?" I blushed lightly and nodded. Ever since I was little and my parents split up it was like a distraction from thoughts. I would look for the prettiest things to take pictures of." I sighed, remembering the million times I had my dad bring me to the beach to take photos. Alex held me, which made me feel warm and safe. We sighed of happiness. We watched the sunset and headed home. We went to our cave and got into bed and just cuddled. I knew I would be in heat in a couple of days and Alex could sense it too. He was becoming very attached and very aggressive. Which I didn't really mind. What? He's cute when he's jealous. I got out of bed and put on a tank top and boxers. I climbed back into bed and passed out as soon as I hit the pillow and his arm was securely around my waist.

Alex's pov

I didn't want to worry my sleeping angel of the matter so I didn't tell her I knew the hand writing on the note. What confused me was that he was supposed to be...gone.

Issa's pov

I woke up to the smell of woods and breakfast! Alex had brought me breakfast in bed and had cooked it all from scratch. I was so proud of him. If you get to know him, he's not a very good cook, but he did amazing on breakfast! We both got dressed and went to the main house. When we got there I bumped into my mom, who was upset. "What's wrong?" I asked her immediately. She sobbed,"Do you remember that diamond necklace from your great great great grandma?" I nodded, and she sobbed into my shoulder,"It got smushed into tiny pieces, and I have no clue how!" I held her and soothed her, but after a while she calmed down and kissed my head before leaving. "Is there something special about the necklace?" Alex asked me and I nodded,"It had a protection spell on it, protected from anything harmful to the person wearing it." He nodded thoughtfully. We decided to go to a park and walk. After we walked for a while, we sat on a bench and watched all the children play. "I want a baby." I stated it so bluntly, he looked shocked. "You do?" I nodded. "Would you want a boy or a girl?" He thought about it and said,"It doesn't matter. If we have a boy, I'll spend fatherly time with him, if its a girl, then I'll be wrapped around her finger." We sat in silence, until he asked,"What about you? What would you want?" I answered straight away,"Twins, one a boy and one a girl." He smiled and said,"We will try to have some once you go into heat, unless you want to wait." I nodded and said,"I kinda want to wait so we can spend some time together." He nodded in understanding and rest his head on mine.
